Wednesday: 5-4, -3.4 units
Big plays are killing my card. Liriano out pitched Hunter, but the Twins were almost waiting for Hunter to fold without actually taking him out themselves. I guess that's why the Twins have a pretty bad losing record. Speaking of losing records, I've had 3 losing days in a row and down about 11-12 units. Only one unit plays Thursday.

SD-1. One unit. The top of the Padres lineup is seriously getting on base and driving in runs. Even in Petco. Got to Wandy pretty well even though he is the Astros most dependable starter. Lucas Harrell was waived by the White Sox last year because he is a one pitch pitcher. A decent sinker, but his off speed pitches are not good enough to get out major leaguers. Astros BP won't be of any help. Meanwhile the Astros lineup, due to trades and injuries, is seriously unable to put together almost any rallies. Even Altuve, their steady leadoff man , is slumping. Volquez, like Harrell, has control issues, but has a good combination of pitches at different speeds. Really likes pitching in Petco.

Wash/ NYM: Under 7.5. One unit. Dickey has been roughed up last 2 starts, but there is nothing wrong with him and the Nats, though they win, don't have much of a hitting attack. Dickey can go the distance too. Gio has been as good as Dickey this year, gives up very few HRs, and great ability to miss bats or get poor contact on hitters. Almost never has a bad start. Mets struggle a bit with lefties. Nats also have steady BP. I also like games with 2 aces - which usually brings out the best in each of them, knowing they'll have to pitch their best to win.

NYY. ML. One unit(-115)We all could have made a fortune just taking the Yanks every game for the past month. The Yankees typically do well in Oakland, and usually on these West Coast trips. AJ Griffin has been very good, but he is somewhat a fly ball pitcher, and that can be dangerous vs. the Yankees. Huge difference in lineups. Bullpens about equal. Garcia has somehow been able to keep the ball out of the middle of the plate, which in the past, has been a problem. He also seems to pitch better knowing the run support is always there. Anyways, the Yankees give any pitcher fits 1-9 in their lineup. The A's hitting attack seems to have gone south now that they're back home. Like the Giants, Padres and Mariners, these West Coast teams seem to hit much better on the road.

With runners on base in nearly every late inning for the Twins...it was a truly frustrating game.

BOL today.

Minnesota:ML. One unit. Until his last outing DeVries had been pitching well. I also think the Twins are going to make up for all the scoring opportunities of the past 2 games. The Orioles are very fortunate to win yesterday and as i have said in earlier threads, almost everything about this team is breaking down. The Twins are hitting .341 last 7 games and hit lefties very well.

Seattle-1. Felix is getting back to being Felix. He might only go 6-7 innings today in the heat, but M's bullpen should be able to finish. Mariners are continuing to hit well on their road trip. KC might have hit Millwood ands Beavan well, but Hernandez is going to likely shut them down. Will Smith is a back of the rotation starter at best, but he'll also have to deal with the heat. Has given up 6 HRs in 15 IPs.
