def worth seeing, probably my favorite of the series (#2 still might be better). some nice twists and turns in this one towards the end. overall a good movie and everyone seem to enjoy it at my screening. had 8+ midnight showings and they were all packed, had to park so far away from the movies, u could have taken a catch to the lobby. it might give the avengers a run for its money

What's working against Dark Knight Rises is the no 3D and the R rating. If the fanboys go see it more than once then it has chances of outgrossing Avengers this weekend.

I saw it earlier this afternoon. I didn't like it at all, so this may be the most disappointed I've ever been in a movie. I've been looking forward to seeing for a long time, and I found myself wishing it was over so I could leave.

I am 41.

Does age matter?

I am starting to tire of superhero movies.

Saw it yesterday and believe it was easily better than the first two even based on the fight scenes between Batman & Bane alone...

I think I'm going to have to go back and watch it again. I'm the only one I know who didn't like it.

At the end when the cops goto war with Bain's people, did anyone else notice that every man in the scene was carrying a gun, but somehow the fight evolved into a 1950's fist fight brawl. Pretty fucking stupid.

Probably worth a 2nd look anyhow to catch everything.

I even missed a couple of key parts in the last 5 minutes until the person I was with pointed it out to me afterwards.

True, but Bain and co. had the fancy guns on the cars until Batman swooped in and used the eletcro thing to zap them.

Then if you notice there were 3,000 cops in a one-row group backed up on one street and nowhere to really go.

The part I questioned is when he was in the prioson with an inured back...

You should change your avatar to Tiger Woods wearing something red.
You call yourself SundayTiger, but SundayTiger always wears red on Sunday's.

Your avatar is Thursday or Friday Tiger.

True. I'm just too lazy and don't really care that much to change it.

Too busy keeping up with the FIRST PLACE Nationals. Looks like I am going to be busy keeping up with them in FIRST PLACE for the next 5-10 years.

Curious what you guys think regarding the very ending.... What if they would have just left it at Alfred just smiling and nodding and didn't actually show the 'other guy' at the table, and just left everyone to wonder....

Hard for me to sit through a three hour movie. I watched this one easily though. I thought it was worth going to see. Better than avengers and better than the amazing spider man imo.

I don't think they really needed to show Wayne - it was implied without it IMO - my wife called the whole thing with Robin emerging, but we both really thought Batman had been blown up. There were several clues throughout the movie that hinted that it wouldn't happen that way, but I didn't really notice them till I thought back on the movie after it ended. I am still trying to decide if I liked this one more than the 2nd one...both movies were fantastic. I am not sure how anyone could of not liked this one though - it had everything I was expecting and did a great job tying up all the loose ends in the trilogy.

If they had not shown him though, it would have left us to wonder if that was Wayne he smiling & nodding to, or simply someone else.

And it probably would have been better to just leave it at that and not show him.

But by showing Wayne, they almost commit themselves to making another one... Especially with the whole Robin thing.

But they don't need to wait 3-4 years for the next one like they have been...

Really good movie.

Only part that irritated me a bit was how quickly Bane was taken out.

Yes it was quick after that second fight.

But... don't forget it never really showed him afterwards nor gave any indication if he's even dead.

Let's hope they make another movie.

I believe they committed to a 4th after showing Wayne at the end and the whole Robin thing.

If we would have only seen Alfred nod and smile and left us all to wonder then I think that would have been the last movie period.

But they left the door open...
