the starting pitching has been pretty damn good the last few weeks. To get Fister back in shape and Sherzer pitching much better. The Tigers will be a tough out the rest of the way.

So was LAA before we took 3/4 from them also. The starting pitcher for Sunday is a very weak link to this rotation. the Tigers will trade foor another starting pitcher

I don't think the Tigers will trade for or sign a pitcher. Once they make the playoffs (WHICH IS A SURE THING) you don't need 5 starting pitchers 4 will do. Getting a 2nd basemen would be a better fit.

imo sign up berry fulltime in left field.. throw rayburn to the minors or nowhere.. and pick up a bench guy for his replacement and a 2nd basement would also be nice to replace some of the poor hitting.

Once Dirks comes back from rehab Rayburn should be gone. He has had enough time to prove himself. Berry has a couple of things going for himself over Rayburn, speed, defense, and he can bunt. What does Rayburn bring ?

Come on Sox ! Lets do this !

Right on:

Brett Myers and Addison Reed each pitched a scoreless inning to close out the game. The White Sox snapped a five-game, road-losing streak and increased their lead in the AL Central to 1 1-2 games over Detroit.

why is it the white sox always seem to have a better record on the road compared to at home.i know they are pretty even at this point but all season their road record was better than their home record and its been like that the last few years

LAST I CHECKED THEY WERE IN 2ND
8/18/12

Porcello, who lost a second straight start, surrendered seven hits and struck out six. It was a rare home loss for the Tigers, who had won 17 of their last 20 at Comerica Park.
They remained 1 1/2 games behind AL Central-leading Chicago, which lost at Kansas City.
