I'm a long time lurker, but decided to join and bring up a topic i have not seen discussed recently.

Heritage Sports and others are not using any form of encryption when you log into and access your account. As a result, if some one is packet sniffing your session the username, password, and session are all extremely vulnerable. Banks, credit card companies, and brokerages all use encryption. I do not know why online sportsbooks do not also protect this communication.

Anybody else have a problem with this?

I positively have a problem with this, and its one of many reasons why I currently have 1 post up account offshore.

Any book which hasn't updated their site to https simply doesn't care if you lose your funds to a hacker.

There is nothing the user can do if the sportsbook's server does not implement encryption. I contacted Heritage about this problem and was told that all communication is secure. This is not the case, so the book(s) don't know much about encryption and/or don't care.
