Saturday: 3-4, -2.8 units

Reds: 2 units RL
Reds: -1/2 first 5 IPs. One unit
Reds -1. One unit. Last year the Mariners had a starter, Anthony Vasquez, who really was the epitome of "we have no one else to throw out there. He got routinely bombed and yet the Mariners sent him out there start after starts because they really didn't have any old veterans or young major league ready pitchers available. I believe Vasquez had one quality start. Finally they pulled the plug. Jonathan Sanchez (and Jeremy Guthrie)fits this to a tee. He is still starting because KC and Colorado just have exhausted their other possibilities- or in Sanchez's case are paying a hefty contract. Sanchez has walked more batters than has struck them out. Has 6 HRs in his last 5 starts. He even got shelled and yanked in the 2nd inning vs. Seattle 2 starts ago. The Reds are hitting well and seem to like Coors Field. Are hitting over .300 in their last 7 games. The Rockies got to Cueto last night, but before that were slumping. Latos gave up 5 HRs to the Rockies in Cinn. earlier this year, but that's when he was pitching poorly. He has been very good in his last 5 out of 6 starts. And has a good history in Coors. In his last 18.2 innings there has only yielded 6 runs. Reds have a BP edge too.
