As a lifelong Texas Rangers fan, it is still surreal to me that we are truly one of baseball's elite and most recognizable teams. Amazing win, and it's especially sweet to have it come against the Angels as we're trying to hold them (And Oakland) off for first.

I've been saying it since the late 90's when I was a kid (Albeit obviously with bias when we were competing with them for first lol): There's no better rivalry in baseball than Rangers/Angels. In 2012, that statement may actually be legitimately true (Living in NY, it is incredibly annoying to hear people refute that with Yankees/Red Sox ugh)

To me, as a life long Rangers fan, one of my favorite rivalry match ups has always been the Rangers and Angels (even when it was the California Angels back in the 80s).

yay for Rangers. shows some fight in them but they are really struggling right now. They better hope to hell Alexi is the answer for the #5 slot in the rotation because they are still down a pitcher now that Nefi is gone. I think the offense will eventually turn around but some of the guys seem a bit complacent. Oswalt was a bust but not a surprise. not sure if they have any arms ready to come up from the minors yet...

Nice to see another lifelong Rangers fan around these parts :) I'm the only one of our kind in New York, or at least that I know of

I wouldn't say Rangers/Angels are the best all time rivalry in baseball; just big as a Rangers fan especially for the past couple of years.

IMO, the best all time rivalry in baseball would have to be the Yankees/Red Sox but it's arguable.

I live in Chicago, and I can say the Cards/Cubs is a good rivalry as well but seems kinda one-sided. I have several friends from St. Louis (including my girlfriend) and they all have a deep hatred for the Cubs, make trips to Wrigley from St. Louis to watch each other play, etc. However, it seems to me Cubs fans here in Chicago are all kind of ...eh, whatever. Let's go to the game and just worry about getting drunk...
