Can you help with some good iPad only sites for watchIng live sports and tv?. Most of these sites require flash or to download some software or plugin witch is difficult. A good list would be great and really appreciated.

IPAD is a fail because of no flash imo.. but steve jobs would have debated that. Like you are asking for ipad friendly sites.. well u need flash.

I believe you can run http://skyfire.com 's brower and get flash on ipads..download that browser/app

I also recommend u consider a remote desktop client and app that can display hd video in rendering.

SplashTop remote Desktop is a really nice one for Apple and Android ;)

http://www.splashtop.com/splashtop2

That way you can view ANYTHING that you can on your home computer.. including poker sites and whatever else you would do on a home computer...

murph, you mind me asking what you do as your real life job?

right now I dont have a job. im an immigrant from usa living in canada. :S lol

but I was a loan officer for 5 years until the mortgage industry crashed and more recently in the last 3 yrs I supervised people holding signs for store liquidations like kmart/sears/steve and barrys/circuit city/ linens and things/borders books/blockbuster video/etc.

But in Canada I have no work yet as getting a work permit and a company to sponsor you is tough...anyone out there with a need for murph full time... let me know :D

Thanks a lot Murph. Looks like were out of luck for the time being without Flash. I still get a lot of video on the Ipad, maybe 60-70% of everything I try an click on. But I wanted to cut my cable/Directv bill by watching some live stuff through Apple tv. The Hulu's and Crackles just don't get it for me. Recently got a Roku and that been interesting and time consuming of late, but if I could just stream some of the sports site you've shared with us in the past, that would be the ideal situation.
I have those 2 apps you mentioned already. I like Splashbox the best and has the best video but it's still cumbersome to navigate. And lags and pixels if you dont have a fast connection. which happens at times. Skyfire I just don't care for at all. It may be better if I had the Ipad 3 with the better retina but I only have the 2.
I was reading last night about Googletv is possibly dipping their toe into the cable business with this Google fiber. http://www.technewsworld.com/story/75799.html
They may have the cable companies scared.
In any event, appreciate it if you come across anything in the future regarding this subject. And thanks again as always.

P.S. Good luck on your job search. Certainly someone can use a guy like you with all your resources.
