Lol there have been FAR worse lineups (Specifically in September) put on a field over the past few years. I don't care what Dustin Ackley's average is, he's still one of the brightest young second basemen in all of baseball with a tremendously high ceiling, as he showed us last year. Trayvon Robinson can be exciting on the basepaths when he gets on, while hitters 3-8 have ALL went on extensive hot streaks at some point recently (Saunders and Seager earlier this year, Wells and Carp last year, Olivo a few times throughout his career, Montero always capable being a top youngster).

Doesn't even matter who's in the lineup anyway with my BOY and No. 1 sleeper entering this season, Blake Beavan, on the hill. He's been absolutely brilliant lately, as expected. Inevitable future ace, period.

Even with their regular lineup, these 2 haven't gone over the 9.5 runs for a long time

Every lineup they had last year was worse. Britton has gotten hammered hard his last 2 outings, but being a lefty, he might give the Mariners a tough time. Beavan has pitched well lately. Is varying speeds and pitches more.

If you wanted to start a thread about an atrocious Mariners lineup, you're two years too late on that one :)

In other words, there's no way any Mariner lineup these days comes even close to being as putrid as it was in the 2010 era, when MATT TUIASOSOPO (The scrub third basemen who's brother was a former NFL quarterback) was batting CLEAN UP. And regular playing time was given to Matt Mangini (No longer in baseball), Ryan Langerhans (Fine bench player, though), and Jack Wilson (As much a dead-bat shortstop as there's been over the past decade).

Every lineup in baseball over the past several years > The regular 2010 Mariners lineup in the second half of that year

HAHAH thank you for pointing that out, I didn't even realize that they were THAT far behind everyone else. In the 2010 season, the Mariners were one of my consistent go-to under teams (Especially since they had one of my favorite pitchers of the past several years, Luke French, who was always VERY underrated. How is he not in baseball right now?), and after you pointed out their run total, I wanted to see where they stood against the rest of the league, and they were like 70 runs behind the next-to-last team in runs scored.

Four Words: Matt Tuisasosopo. Cleanup Hitter.
