I don't think it really matters. The RX is a business. They are going to make the rules and will enforce them as they see fit. They have deals in place with other advertisers and they aren't going to risk what they have because some shit book wants to give people $50 Bonus Plays for making post so their avatar shows.
Sounds like a desperate ploy to attract attention and the RX or any other forum shouldn't have to deal with it. You can call it out of the box thinking for marketing, but it's been done before.
As one of the mods stated in the other thread, if someone doesn't like the rules, there's the door.
If someone thinks they can get a bunch of people with an avatar to make 20 posts a week and wants to give em $50 in Bonus Plays a week, perhaps you should start your own forum.
