To answer the question as to why I am a Mod here, which I might have told a few over the years is. As some know I was in the Sportsbook Industry for over 30 years.
First in the Local area, then Offshore.
When the Offshore Business was Sold, because the owner/Friend Pass away.. and his Son Took over... it was also around the time that BetonSports had it's down fall.
The Son decided to move the Office from Costa Rica to Panama. Most moved to Panama, but some didn't like it. Either for reasons like their Family was back in CR or that the Son was not the person for the job of running a Major Office.
The Shop was a Credit Shop mainly with a small Post Up.
Anyway, a Deal was made and and some stayed and some left.
My deal was to Travel back and forth from CR/Panama to the States. I felt after a while I was tired of doing this... With all the Busts happening here and there...
Plus the Wife didn't want me doing it anymore.
So I Needed something that would keep me in the States/Home. and Stay out of trouble, etc...
and Yes it has Nothing to do with Money ! Nobody can "Live" on a Mods pay... at least not in this day and age.
Heard stories that back in the day, Mods made a lot more than Today.
In a Nutshell it keeps me busy.... I like hanging with some you guys.... Even have Met some during the past RX Bashes....Yeah sometime I will get pissed, and that's because I still haven't got use to the Internet Fighting BS.
Or if someone is trying to make a point, some will just like to fight you on it.
But outside of the BS, there are a lot of Good going on... some Real Sports Talk... you can also find some Good Info at times... Etc.
I am a Gambler, and That's how I make my money.
There have been plenty of people who have asked me Why I'm here over the past couple of years. and I tell them all the same, which is to keep me busy.
I have also been asked to come back to the Sportsbook business, and I have told them, No Way.
I had a chance a few months ago, and at a Very Nice Salary. But I turned them down. So again it has Nothing to do with the Money.
I know some don't like me, but that's Ok... I also know that being a Mod at Any Site, we are at the Front Line and will get the most Bashing. That's OK too.
Nobody is perfect, Including ME.
I can only try to help as many people as possible. Bring as much as I can to the Posters. Make Changes if I can. and with the Help of my Fellow Mods and RX management, I hope to turn this Forum around.
Again.... I'm sure not everyone will be Happy... But we Will TRY ! (<)<
