Never been on disability but I was on Workers Comp once cause I tore my back up working at Coca-Cola. I got paid basically the same pay and all I had to do was go to the clinic 2 times a week for treatment and rehab. It was during the summertime which was the busy time of the year and I was barely 21 at the time. I was in no hurry to go back to full workload so I complained about the pain a little more than it really was. Coca Cola finally got sick of my ass and created a restricted duty position for me to do which was to go around to all of the store and clean the coolers and replace the stickers. That was boring as shit. When I finally got off restricted duty I ended up quiting my job out right and looked for elsewhere.
Many people view any way to get a check as their right; and clearly may people on disability are disadvantaged, but clearly could do something, but find it easier to get a check; free Medicad/Medicare insurance; and then work under the table cash jobs/busineses; and do not think they are doing anything wrong; just tapping the system; to get their "fair share"..>>
