1st time to LV was in October 2008, stayed 10 days @The Signature @MGM.
Was like being a little kid in a candy store, spent hrs in the sportsbook and playing blackjack. When I got home, I immediately booked another 3 week trip for January 2009 (and when I came back from that trip another 3week trip for June)...except for this year have been going back every year since then and on every trip play blackjack @MGM with the same two dealers.
First time trip always was kind of intimidated by the poker room: Watched some time, but took me until midway through my 2nd trip to finally sit down and play some NL1/2 *lol*
Took me 16.5hrs to get from Munich to LV and when I finally completed checkin, had about 15min left to get my MLB bets in. So had my luggage sent to my room, sprinted over from the Signature to the MGM Grand sportsbook and just got my wagers on the Rays and Dodgers in before the Rays played their 1st game vs CHW. After that went back to my room, watched the first 7 innings in the jacuzzi bath tub in my room and then headed back over the MGM to play BJ. Those two single wagers + the parlay paid for the whole trip (was overbetting a bit at that time), although I gave a good chunk of my sportsbook winnings back playing 9-10hrs of BJ per day during that trip.
But have nothing but good memories from that 1st trip, probably the reason why up to this day I always return to the MGM for BJ and to the same two female dealers...

Thought that would get your attention...but as much fun as I have playing blackjack with those two dealing, I would thankfully pass on a BJ by either one of them...hell, one could even be my mother, woman is even older than that creepy cat mod guy here :howdy:
Met two hot Canadian med students playing BJ one of these nights though, ended with dinner at Craftsteak and a fun night at Studio54
Went with 6k in my pocket. Came back with 2k in my pocket. I guess you could say I came out 2k ahead. lol
My first show in Vegas was Nudes on Ice at the Plaza. Won 1K @ Lady Luck Blackjack tourney for $25 entry fee. Been coming back 2-3 times every year since. I miss the Stardust and Lady Luck.

Got divorced in Jul of 73. That Fall was free & single for the 1st time & drove to LV ALONE!! Was like a kid @ Disneyland. All the lights, women, etc.! Woke up in the middle of the night wide awake & realized I didn't HAVE to back to bed. Got dressed @ 0230, and never let up for a wk. Loved the Castaways, Bingo Palace, & of course the "Mecca" of sports betting the Stardust. My 2nd day there got winked @ by a cutie in the grocery store & that one went on for 15 yrs. AHH to be young again. I do miss it so!
I was 14 the first time I went ... obviously I was with my parents. Stayed at the Circus Circus. My dad gave my brother (he was 15) and I 20 dollars each to blow in the family area while he played black jack. Well instead my brother and I decided to walk around outside the casino. We walked by the little casino next door that had the outside slot machines. We got 3 pulls in before the security guard ran us off. Well we went back every time we had a free chance at another pull. Ended up winning about $130 and we were both hooked. Funniest part was my mom and dad kept asking if we needed more money ... after the 2nd time we said no my dad figured it out ... he made us pay him his "stake money" back. He said "that is how gambling works" "and be glad I don't make you split the profits with me" ... all in good fun though.
