This year I have the number one overall pick. I really do not want the #1 pick this year. My question is who would you take with the overall #1? I am going to go with Rodgers. (I really wish I had #4 or #5 - with there not being that many good rbs - id like to take Brady at #5 and be able to have a more balanced draft).

I too am stuck with the 1 hole in my 10 team draft.
Horrible year to have that spot!

You have to take a running back imo. I'm taking McCoy.
Foster will have a down year with his o-line being down. Rice signed a huge contract (letdown), and I see the Ravens being down a bit in general this year.

This should set you up for AJ Green with your second pick. I would wait for round 4/5 to snag Matty ice. He should be a top 3 qb this year. If you miss out on him-wait for Cutler a few rounds later.

as u said, with there not being a lot of good/stud running backs, you are in position to grab one! gotta take foster mccoy or rice

There are tons of good running backs, you just won't know till the end of the year which one has the best season. Chances are it won't be one of the top 3.

Heard of three drafts here locally, 2 of them Rodgers was the #1 pick, Foster #1 in the other. I would take Foster personally but agree would rather not have the #1 pick.

I also think you should take a RB with the #1 overall.

No way I use that pick on Rodgers, especially when Brady or Brees could put up just as good or better numbers...

Defying - no I cannot trade it, this is a old school league, no trades what so ever. I think the best RB will be McCoy. I think foster and rice will both have bad years (foster more so). I want Brady. He has more options in my opinion. But both him and Rodgers will obv be gone by my 2nd pick. I had Matt Ryan last year, did nothing for me. I don't want him again.

I absolutly dont understand why people take a qb #1 overall. or even really high in the 1st round for that matter. I guess it depends some on your scoring system as well but you have to take a RB. Personally, i'd take foster but rice and mccoy are fine too. the dropoff from elite RB to decent RB is alot more then the dropoff from elite QB to decent qb. In my leagues scoring system mark sanchez finished last year as the #10 qb. And he may not even have been drafted. I took Stafford in like round 11 and he finished #3 qb. value can be had later with qb's. and its almost easy to get a pretty good qb, especially in a 10 team league. Ill freely admit that there will be some random Rb drafted in round 11 or so that will put up big numbers this year, but its alot easier to find a qb who will be pretty good.

Lets say you go QB in the 1st and RB at pick #24. ok, your way you take the #1 qb and likely the #14ish RB. if you go Rb in the 1st and qb in the 2nd you take the #1 RB and probably the #4 QB. the point differencial between the #1 and #4 qb is minimal. the point differencial between the #1 RB and #14 Rb is huge.

Rice or Foster would be my pick. Foster lost linemen but they said the same thing when he lost Leach. Its all about the run blocking system and they have a great one. Ray Rice has been the most consistent rb out there so you really can't go wrong with him. I am a big Mccoy fan but the Eagles offense sometimes(not sure why) goes away from him and didn't involve him as much in the pass game. His points came from his great TD production but that is tough to repeat year in and year out. I have the 3 pick and know my draft is going Rodgers-Rice/Foster- so i just take whoever is waiting for me of Rice or Foster. To be honest, your 2nd/3rd round pick are going to be more important. Im hoping to snag Jamal Charles in round 2 if hes there. If not, I will wait and snag someone like McGahee or Bradshaw later and load up on my wideouts because you have a good base in RB already.

You really think Ryan will out-perform Brady/Brees/Rodgers? He has pretty much the same squad as last year but Julio Jones should be better but Roddy White numbers should slightly go down. I could see him being in the 5-7 range but the team still has Turner and if you recall, last year the same thing happened where they aired it out in the pre-season and then he was a middle of the road QB. I like him but not that early. I love AJ Green too but in order to deliver 2nd round value, he would have to increase production big time from last year where he was like the 10th-15th best wideout and I dont see him making that big of a leap. His value was great for he went last year, but my goal is to find the player who will deliver that value but from the same draft you got Green in last year.

Atlanta is chunking the ball this year. They have just as many weapons as GB. Turner getting old, and his workload going down.
Green had like 10 targets in a couple of quarters of preseason work-i'm not big on sophmores, but he has to produce if given so many shots.

I just am taking a wait and see approach to Atlanta because they said the same thing last year. Roddy White said it would be the greatest show on turf. With that said, I still love Roddy White and Julio Jones this year but just can't reach that high for Ryan
