Okay, so JakeT mentioning burgers has me craving..... I didn't want to take over his thread, so heres one......

First off, love burgers, favorite food.... Today is the 20th of August and I haven't had a burger all month, probably the longest I've gone in, IDK 10 years without a burger.. seriously...

Craving one.....

FAVORITE BUGERS:
1. Hardees
Angus meat -- 1/2 on their "six dollar burger". You can take all the toppings and bread off and eat the meat and it will have more flavor than some steaks-- LOVE IT!

2. Mine!
Yeah the ones I throw on the grill. No real secret just quality meat(not lean but not 93% fat either) put some splash of worchestershire sauce and then Grill Mates Hamburger seasoning...... What most people fail to do at cookouts is get good hamburger buns... Buns are so important!! Potato buns are awesome... there is another brand, thats not potato bread that I love, forget the name, ill look when I go to grocery store later today.. but anyways, just lightly butter the bread and throw in on the pan for a second to get it lightly toasted.. yeaaaa budddyyy

3. HAMS
A restaurant mostly located in NC I believe - They have a BISON BURGER. Bison meat is much healthier. It's so freaking good. One year I didn't get the NFL Package simply so I could go there and have an excuse to order two of there burgers, ya know since I was there all day watching football. Unfortunately, ours closed down. hopefully they are still around in NC

4. Honorable Mention
Any burger that has a fried egg on it. If you haven't try it, do! Even at home, fry an egg, throw it on top of the burger, a little mayo lettuce tomato. amazing. Red Robin has one on there menu called "Royal Burger" or something like that.. We have a local place that does them, been on the food network, and they call them cheesy westerns....

Whats your top burgers? Fries?

Notably for those in Texas: Both Whataburger and Dairy Queen burgers with grilled jalapenos added are out-fucking-standing.

Fries

Alright, I am not a huge fry guy... Hardee, BurgerKing, and Wendys have all changed their fries in the last couple years... I actually REALLLY liked Hardees Old fried (not really old, they changed them in the lsat 5 years, and only lsat a couple years, before going tot he "hand cut fries".) But I hate their fries now... Also BK changed theirs, don't like their new ones.. And Wendys.. I dont understand how anyone can like them. just gross. always have been

Best "Fries"

1. 5 Guys
I do like their burger, but I really go for their fries. Bought from Local Famers (they even post right next to the cashier where potatoes were bought today) ... Plus we you get fries, they throw an extra entire scoop INSIDE the bag, so you get a ton. sooo addicting.

2. Chikfila
Waffle Fries. Plus with polynesian sauce, its AWESOME. Could be number 1, but I think the sauce makes it that great. As 5 guys fries can stand alone...

3. Burger King ONION RINGS
Now really this is my favorite, but given its not a fry didn't think it should be #1 on my list. They changed their Onion Ring in the last year and AMAZING. love them.

HONORABLE MENTION
Cook-Out
(more on this place later) But fries, pretty good. Again even though Its on my list, I dont really like fries that much... I like cook outs, plus can get cajun seasoning on it...

I discovered them a couple years ago, I think I had 1 every week for 2 months...

Probably the messiest burger.... And also could be inconsistant... but do love them....

Never ate a whataburger....

Wendys

Now I probably could write a little review of every fast food place....

But before I completely dominate this thread... Who here likes Wendys? I use to LOVE their burgers (inconsistant but when good, its was great) Whenever they changed their menu, they must of done something to their beef. It's flavorless now.. and not a pleasant texture...

it's a shame because this was Only 1 of 2 of the major fast food places I get burgers, but after 10 attempts or so since the menu change, I haven't enjoyed a burger there once... :>(

That leave Hardees the only fast food place for me to get a burger I love.... (edit forgot about DQ, I do enjoy their burgers)

Five Guys fries are soggy, never crispy, and greasy as hell.

Red Robins fries are crispy, well cut (thickness), and not greasy.

But FG makes a good burger...

The very first one is about a half mile from me, off Leesburg Pike/route 7. I have never had a crispy fry at any FG ever. Always soggy/soft & greasy! I stopped getting fries when I go there.
