Talking in that Lebron sneaker thread...

Thought about shoes.. I won't pay over $100-$125 for a pair of sneakers, but I have paid up to $900 on a pair of shoes.
Of course they are Hand made in Italy.. And have had them for 5 years now.
Great pair shoes....

On avg. I will go about $200 for shoes

Depends ... Now that I'm in my late 40's and not playing sports, $75 or less for sneakers. When I was younger and playing tons of sports $125 was normal. Dress shoes, I have paid as high as $700. I have had them for 8 years and they are still going strong.

Never paid more than $150. For sneakers I almost always go State side. Nikes that are $100 in Canada are usually $45.

Never more than $120. I saw some Bruno's that were on sale for $300 that I thought about buying.

I'am on my feet a lot, so I buy expensive dress shoes, between 250-375 per pair and well worth it for me

$150-ish. I get running shoes for much less, as I go through about 6-8 pair/year.

Usually buy Bally which were about $120 twenty years ago and are now about $425.

When you get the hand made Italian pair, can you get those re-soled anywhere? After five years, I'm guessing you may have had to do that once or twice.

I try to spend $70 bucks or less one shoes... and Ilike shoes. Have nikes in all the colors that I wear....

then again, I do have an unfair advantage. I have a Nike hookup where I get 40% off anything on the website...

When I first got into the real world, a really nice pair of black shoes was one of my first purchases. Spent $450 on a pair of Guccis. Knew I was spending too much. Looking back, they were absolutely worth every penny. Still wear them today, almost 6 years later. Had them re-soled once and they look like I bought them earlier this month. Wonderfully made shoe.

My brown dress shoes are only aboout $160ish.

Tennis shoes - don't like going over $100 but I will hang onto a good pair for awhile.

I think most was close to 200EUR, probably would have been 150 at most in the US for the same pair though...Last few years I did almost all my shoe shopping on my trips to LV, the price difference alone could pay for the flight costs in coach, if you were buying like 3 pairs. Similar thing about clothes...

My buddies in England and Scotland do that. The outlet mall and fashion show mall are the first places they wanna go...they spends 1000's smiling the whole way. Say everything is "cheap as chips" to them.
