The current version of the Astros may be the worst team I have ever seen.

Maybe not the worst team ever at the beginning of the season but since they have traded away all there good players during the year I dont think I have ever seen a worse team.

I honestly cant think of a single player I would want on the ASTRO's on my team.

At least last season they had Bourne, Pence, Rodriquez.

They dont even have any young players on the team with promising potential.

At least some of the other bad teams have players that will be good someday.
Not only is Houston bad, they are young with no upside.

Nothing worse then being bad, young, and no upside.

I keep wanting to fade them, but cant bring myself to lay the -300 although there is probably some value there.

I was listening to sports talk radio and they were comparing 2012 astro's to the 1962 Mets as the worst team ever...guess its saying something

Is my statement outlandish?
Can anyone think of another team that is worse then the Astros in the last 30 years?

I cant vouch for the teams before 30 years ago.

I hear the 62 mets sucked, and the St Louis Browns sucked. And some of those Philly teams with Carlton sucked.

I will take the 1988 Baltimore team over the ASTRO's of this season as long as the game is not played in April. LOL
At least they had a HOFer

Cubs, Astros, Indians and Yankees were my 4 biggest totals.... all unders. Looks like I have 3 of the 4 in the bag. However the Yankees are about right on the number as We speak. I think the Astros are amongst the worst ever right now. I think I bet them under 62 1/2 before the season started. Just checked Astos under 63

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

As a Astros fan....these last few years have been brutal.

IMO Brad Mills should never have been let go....also The Astros’ new ownership is considering moving the signature train from above left-center field and making changes to Tal’s Hill in center.

Bet them under 64, too. But actually they were on track for that number until (late?) June, when they started trading away all their decent players. IIRC they even had a winning record at home through like 50 games (might be wrong on that one).
But right now there really is not much left: Lowrie is on the DL, otherwise he seemed decent enough for a middle infielder, although his numbers dropped down significantly before his injury. Norris/Harrell are pitching decent at home, but both with way worse numbers on the road. Other than that there is really not much left, maybe Altuve (good avg + speed, but imo not the best defensive player and not much power)....
And agree about Mills: What the f*** do you expect to happen if you have a team projected to win 60-64 games, pretty bad farm system and you strip them of their closer, setup-man (and I think one more bullpen arm), one of their top2 starters (Wandy), another starter (Happ), their cleanup hitter (Lee), another rather decent bat (Johnson) and also lose your #3 hitter (Lowrie) to injury?

44-19. Great to see how this team has turned it around, looking good on both sides of the ball.

The Astros matched a franchise record set in May 2000 by homering in an 18th consecutive game. McCann's shot was Nolasco's American League-worst 19th allowed this season, one more than Fiers, who kept the ball in the ballpark for a third consecutive outing.
