Heads should roll on this one, but they wont. if an innocent person accidentally kills/runs over a cop at a traffic stop, they bring them up on charges, this happens and they'll blow it off.
At a minimum, they should be charged with reckless discharge of a firearm...they wont.

What did they gives these officers musket training or something. Shooting while running and looking in the opposite direction of their target.

you left out the fact that possibly all 9 people hit may have been hit with bullet fragments that had exploded after hitting the pottery or other objects.

Another moronic post.

Did you happen to even watch the video of the shooting or just comment with no knowledge of what happened? I'm sure I know the answer.

The cops were walking up and a guy pulls out a gun and starts firing at the cops. They pull out their weapons and engage the guy. Keep in mind they were about 5 feet apart from each other. Seriously, like you give a shit what your background is when you're getting shot at. They prevented a crazy gunmen from killing more people and you want them charged with reckless discharge of a firearm?

Do your research next time before you comment.

Do you have any idea how you'd react when getting shot at five feet away? Trust me when I tell you when you hear gunshots in close range with people shooting at each other, you don't care how many rounds you shoot or what happens. You are determined to stop the threat.

What is a guy supposed to do if he misses his first three shots say "oh, I know I missed but I've fired three shots and I think anymore than that is excessive...I should stop shooting."

When you're getting shot at, you don't always hit your target. Shots go high and low and left and right. It's just how it goes.

The guy didnt fire even a single shot at the police, not one. The gunman had killed the one guy he was after and was leaving, he wouldn't have shot anyone else. Sure when the guy pulled his gun they probably had to kill him, but how do you wound 9 innocent people? The basics of firearms training is that you AIM and shoot, you dont just fire willy nilly.

how i would shoot or a trained officer would shoot? innocent bystanders everywhere youre telling me youd pull the trigger 7-9 times at that distance while your buddy did the same? And as mike said the guy didnt even shoot at the police...had 2 bullets left in his gun, shot the coworker 5 times in the head and once in the chest...the police panicked and could have killed innocent people, thank god they only accidentally shot them where they had non life threatening injuries :103631605

Well they are after all just normal folks like you and I, doing the best they can under what can be very difficult circumstances.

understandable...but you just cant start pulling off that many rounds when people are directly behind/beside your target comon

ou, they did the best they could.

A man with a gun, who had killed someone was RIGHT in front of them.

They were scared and reacted.

Dude, let me shed some light on this topic for you. A trained police officer misses just like you and I. It's just the fog of the gun battle...things happen and they don't always hit the target.

Uh yes, if my life is in danger and I'm being shot at, I'm going to shoot until the guy falls down which is what they did. They missed and he didn't go down initially. You have no idea if you're buddy is shooting or not. You're not going to look at what he's doing. What if his gun gets stuck in the holster? What if a round jams in his weapon? What if he misses? I wouldn't care or pay attention to a thing he's doing.

How do the cops know how many rounds he had? He pulled out a gun and pointed it at them after responding to a shooting call. Are you truly being serious? Yeah, they panicked because they were getting shot at just like you would.

This is retarded.

EXACTLY. You don't give a shit about anything else but stopping the thread and not getting killed. Who cares about bystanders when you're being shot at. Good god.
