Boston Terrier, good combo of personality, intelligence and spunk. Great with kids. We just got our third after putting our 16 yr old down last year.

We have two Boston Terriers. They are smart and a lot of fun. They even love jumping in the water and swimming. I think they are great.

Had an English Springer growing up and he was pretty awesome too.

Most likely, I would enjoy any dog you put in front of me.

No kids yet, but my wife and I have two Bostons. They are great when kids are around

Growing up, my grandparents always had a boxer. They are great dogs.

My last dog was a Bichon Frise which is a little foo foo dog. He was the smartest, happiest and most fun dog I've ever seen. He was my little buddy, but I lost him when my girlfriend of 7 years and I broke up. It's been over 2 years since I've seen him and I still miss him very much.

That said, if raised correctly most breeds are good and faithful companions. Bad dogs are a reflection of their treatment and upbringing.

I love Great Danes, and my sister used to raise black Danes. The first GD she ever had got to a weight of 250 lbs. and could touch an 8' ceiling. Largest dog I ever saw. Unfortunately, the have a short life span and die before 10-12 years of age. But they are really great. This Dane was barking at the back door one night so my brother-in-law let him out. They had nothing but woods in back of them. Turns out this Dane spotted a full size buck and took him down!

The Great Dane is a combination of a Mastiff and a Greyhound. Mastiff for hunting, and a Greyhound for speed!
