UseLogic 2012 US Open Tennis Picks

The US Open is upon us so let's let the players make us some money. For accounting purposes, each play is 1 unit each. There are so many matches in the 1st round and unless you have locker room info, it's hard to determine how the players will play. I can only go by past and recent performances.

11am: Samantha Stosur vs Petra Martic
This year, Petra has beaten on hard courts: Jelena Jankovic, Shuai Peng; lost in 3 sets to Lucie Safarova, and on clay, lost to Stosur in a close 3-setter. For defending US Open champ Stosur, 5 out of her last 7 matches has gone 3 sets. I see this to be a close affair and could go 3 sets or at least a 6-4, 6-3 score.
