first off if you have IPhone download the All Vegas Poker app.....this tells you all the details in real time of all the poker rooms in vegas....buy ins, wait times, tourneys etc...

Second what is your bankroll??? If you playing 1/2 I would highly rec MGM poker room....i swear this was the easiest money I ever made in my life....This is nothing but frat boys and tourists...very few locals would play here at these stakes...

you will prob will want to stick to 1/2 while you get your groove back...or maybe play one the 65 MTT they run at MGM...

texas holdem in the no limit variety is about folding.

if u cant not be an action junkie and fold 80% of ur hands it wont be for u.

pros win consistently by playing the best possible scenario out in every hand.. folding is the most valuable solution in many of them.. not betting/bluffing/or chasing.

but.. its a learnable game and u can get better with each stride...

gl in ur new venture bro :)

I agree with the MGM room being the easiest that I have ever played at.

You say you are a stud player. I would suggest playing some play money NL holdem online to get back in the grove and get a better understanding how it works.

Also never just call in early position. Either raise it to 8-12 or just fold.

Another +1 for the MGM. Very soft 1/2 (and often times 2/5) games, usually about 10 tables going and fwiw the sportsbook is right next to it and Studio54 across the room, so some eye candy on weekends.
If you're looking for the softest competition, try the MGM around 3am in on a Saturday or Sunday morning, when the drunks leaving Studio 54 drop in :103631605
Not sure though if that might be past your bedtime, old man :howdy: in case you go there, take a jacket with you because it can get quite chilly in their poker room (IIRC somebody once mentioned, that that had something to do with the cooling system for Studio54 running above the poker room.
