Saturday: 2-4, -1.6 units. Didn't think I'd make it this far into the season before giving it up. Right now though can't catch any kind of winning form. Sorry about short write ups. Long day.

LAA. -1. 5 units. You are likely getting 2 pitchers who are off their norm returning to form. Weaver has pitched very well vs. the Mariners, and the M's are in their home field funk even against much lesser pitchers. Iwakuma has pitched well, but I don't think his pinpoint location of pitches will continue. The Angels are surging at the right time, and have owned the Mariners the last 2-3 years. Also, the mariners still have a cadre of young hitters that can't really compare in any way to the Angels' lineup.

Angels-1/2 First 5 one unit.

Oakland. -1. Two units. Dice K has had his troubles over the past many years, and now faces a very hot A's team. They like to run and Dice K can't hold runners well. Anderson and the much superior BP can keep the Sox at 3 or less. I also think that the Red Sox are playing out the string waiting for Bobby V to get axed.

Texas. TT. One unit or two? Mcallister has never pitched this many innings in a season and got a tired arm both in 2009 and 2010- then was shut down. Rangers rarely get held down 2 games in a row when facing mediocre pitching. McAllister has been the Tribe's best starter, but that shows you how bad their Starting pitching is. He has also given up 29 runs in his last 38 IPs. Will see what the total is in the morning.

Arizona. ML. One unit. First 5. Capuano has ben roughed up for more than a month now. Miley pitching better, tough lefty who can also hit. Gonzalez has definitely struggled of late and now faces a LHP. D-Backs can play loose, while Dodgers have such high expectations, and playing a little tight.

Here we go again with this Angels team. When Weaver is pitching they just refuse to hit the first 5 and Weaver can't keep M's bats down forever.

Good stuff. Thanks Grindstone. Also, Sale is a young pitcher and they are more likely to get a tired arm later in the season. Sale throws tons of sliders and they are especially tough on the arm. Also, Sox lineup looks much more vulnerable with a couple of guys missing. Verlander is a gamer and loves games like this.
