The Baltimore Orioles and Oakland A's are both now trailing by only 3 games. Both are a case of small market-small payroll, chasing the big market- big payroll guys.

Old man Wolf gets dropped by the Brew Crew and tosses a win for the kids in Charm City. Both are great stories making it an interesting year in baseball.

buck is one great manager, how he is getting it done with this roster is a miracle.

I probably would consider Orioles more a mid-market team as it relates to payroll. Maybe it's just me (I haven't looked up the exact figures) but O's will spend some money. If you want to talk about another small market team in the hunt, Tampa would probably fit better.

Wolf is a perfect example of: 'When he's good, he's good"

Not good enough often enough but still a wily old fox.

O's , A's and Tigers in the playoffs.. Takes me back to my grade school days in the early 70's... Can remember sitting in my 4th grade class in 1972 listening to the day playoff game between the Tigers and A's... Teacher had it on the radio.

If you had the Rangers to win the division, you are sweating.

....and Hamilton drops a fly ball, 7-5 Oakland 4th inning.

Awesome to see a full stadium. I am not a fan of the Moneyball approach as it will kill your attendance, I guess it works in small markets.
