Cal Neva use to take big wagers but not sure about now that they're owned Will Hill. Peppermill's limits are 5k on NFL games not sure about about CFB, but all limits are negotiable at the Peppermill too so you may get more with approval.
funny bump chazz. i started this thread last year during football season before a trip to reno. at that time, i hadn't been to reno in about 5-7 years and wanted the latest info.
i've since been a few times and went to all the old places downtown i use to frequent for nostalgia purposes. it's so obvious now that if you're looking for the best atmosphere, best lines, and best limits there's no point in going anywhere else than the Pepp, Atlantis, and maybe the Nugget. all of the old school shops downtown have pretty much been bought out by William Hill which has totally robbed their character (Cal Neva is the best example of this). there's no point now in going downtown unless you really need a Caesar's or MGM line. just speaking on behalf of sports, i don't play the tables anymore.
