Forty-eight years after brothers Leroy and Forrest Raffel first introduced the world to their roast beef sandwich, Arby’s is launching a new line of turkey sandwiches.
Dubbed Turkey Roasters, the line includes three varieties:
● Turkey Classic: Thinly sliced oven-roasted turkey piled high on a toasted sesame seed bun and served with choice of honey mustard, mayo or ranch.
● Turkey ‘n Cheddar Classic: Thinly sliced oven-roasted turkey topped with cheddar cheese sauce and zesty Red Ranch sauce on a toasted onion roll and served hot.
● Grand Turkey Club: Served hot on a toasted Harvest Wheat bun, with sliced roast turkey, melted Swiss cheese, pepper bacon, leaf lettuce, tomato and mayo.
To celebrate the launch of the sandwiches, Arby’s if offering guests a free taste on Thursday, Sept. 6.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day, Arby’s customers can try one of the three sandwiches for free. The offer is valid at participating restaurants, while supplies last. No additional purchase is necessary.
Turkey isn’t new to Arby’s menus. In 2001, the chain introduced its Market Fresh sandwiches, including Roast Turkey Ranch & Bacon and Roast Turkey & Swiss. Wrap versions of the sandwiches followed. The Turkey Roaster line, however, represents the first warm turkey sandwiches for Arby’s.
