Has anyone been to Vegas on New Year's Eve? Is it pretty crazy?

Also, we're thinking about getting married out there. What are some cool/unique places to get married?

The ultimate amatuer night but it sure is a blast....many, many chapels to get married at, along with hotel chapels..

It is absolutely insane. Mostly younger crowded, much like Vegas on 4th of July..... I am not sure about this but would be willing to bet those are the 2 busiest times in Vegas. Price for rooms are jacked up higher. Everywhere is very crowded and busy, it was fun to experience once but I dont have much of a desire to do it again.

I've been but don't really remember much. I remember leaving for the drive and waking up there.

I've done it once and agree I like saying I've done it more than I want to do it again. I have friends tell me all the time "wow we should do that together sometime" and I've never been back for NYE and I LOVE vegas (will be there tomorrow).

As stated above way too many people, prices jacked up on everything and too crowded to enjoy anything.

Pretty much every nihgt is New Years Eve in Vegas. It's always crazy. If Vegas is your thing its just another night in Vegas.

Done it once. The strip is closed and if you stay in the road you are surrounded by drunk 18-year-olds. The funniest part is when you go into the casino you still see the poker degens who don't know if it's a new year or not, they don't even care.

Worst time to go.

Yep. Too much to deal with for me.

You're looking at $200+/night for an okay room, $100+ each for a club cover, $500 min+ for bottle/table service required, and then lots of idiots to deal with and the service everywhere being nowhere near as good as normal. If you've got a huge circle of friends with lots and lots of cash and who love that type of scene, I'm sure it can be a great time.

But I'd like to get Seymour's take. I don't know him personally, but his lifestyle may have a more positive opinion.

My buddy has a time share there, so the room isn't an issue. But with everything else, it doesn't sound like it would be very fun. I don't like big crowds as it is, and I like big crowds with drunk people in them even less. Not that I wouldn't be drunk along with them, but alcohol doesn't turn me into Mike Tyson like it does the amateurs.

I appreciate the feedback, guys.
