Last day of the week is tonight and settle up is Thursday. I got crushed this weekend. It bothered me all night last night and barely slept. I have the money to pay, but still very pissed off about it. Called up the man today and asked if he was busy, because I wanted to square up right now. Went to the safe, got out the cash, went to his house and paid. Now i am in a much better mood and ready to focus on what I need to do. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I just hate losing and owing!

Please tell me others are like this and I am not just totally fucked in the head!

I do this almost every time I owe a local. I run a poker game that he plays in. Alot of guys get into the house for loans. I just hate being the guy that owes. I'm fine when they owe me.

On the other side. I like to let my positive balances rollover, I feel more confident when I'm on the plus side.

Good! I agree, if I am up, I could care less if I go and meet up, usually let it ride until it gets significant (on those rare occasions)

I know what you mean. I learned a while ago, I never lose more than I can afford in a week, but still at the end of a week when it's time to settle up and I'm down (doesn't matter how much) I get a crappy feeling. It has to be the thought of owing someone money. Once I meet and pay up, I feel great, look forward to making some cash in the week that follows. But come Sunday night, if I'm down it's just an all around crappy feeling, hard to explain it exactly but I know what you mean. I have no problem paying it off, and I have no problems with my bookie, we get along well but having to answer a call from him on the Monday or having to call him, it's just not fun.

But who am I to complain, I enjoy betting too much. It's worth a crappy feeling once in a while for the excitement you get when you're winning and at the start of a fresh new betting week. A clean slate.

CFB Fan put it in a good way though, can't stand to feel like I owe someone money........ doesn't really matter how much it is for me.

we all have our ways of coping with losing. No one makes a profit every single week not even billy walters.

I have trouble sleeping the night of as well. Next day is a little better but if I try to bet I still have the chasing mentality and bet too much. By the third day the slate is wiped clean in my head and I can bet the correct way. So for me, two days later and I feel even. Everyone is different.

The best of the best do not let any single win or loss effect them emotionally. That's what makes them pro's. I have gotten a lot better in that capacity, but it takes years of experience to truly get to that point.
