How to deactivate my facebook account?

If you could explain in layman terms as i am not too sharp on pc's, thanking you in advance.

1.) in the upper right corner of the screen look for [your name] [home] [down arrow]
- click the down arrow
2.) choose "account settings" from the drop down
3.) now look way over on the left of the screen and there is a menu - select "security"
4.) now look to the middle of the screen and in bold letters you will see Security settings... just look further down at the bottom of that section and you will see a small link - "deactivate your account"
5.) follow the directions
6.) congratulate yourself with a pop tart OR a beer... do not have both, they do not mix well and may give you the runs

7.) if you ever want to re-activate your account, just log in and everything is back to normal

not that I know of. maybe delete friends one by one and then delete all of your content, photos, likes, posts, etc. facebook has us all by the ball hairs with the info they collect I think

log on to facebook and make sure you are on your home page, then hit up up down down left right left right B A and start.

Should be all done.

I don't think you can "unlike" a comment someone else made... or a photo you liked. but if you like a facebook page.. for ex: a facebook page about big titted women. You can edit your 'likes" like that

I subscribed to someone by mistake.
