2012 MLB O/U Record: 331-305-39, -$1,597 (Was making much bigger bets earlier in the year, with countless fluke bad breaks, obviously. I also undoubtedly lead the country in half-run/one-run losses)
2011 MLB O/U Record: 366-270-42, +$1,104

Well, there’s some good with yesterday’s 4-1 performance and there’s some bad. The good, obviously, is that it helped me push past my up-and-down results over the past few days, giving me confidence back in the process. The bad, however, is that it happened heading into a Sunday, when I inevitably have as much focus on football, if not more, compared to my dear baseball over/unders that I’ve done literally every single these past five-plus months (Not to mention every day last year, for those who are not as familiar with me). Despite this, I actually felt pretty good when I did my baseball analysis (I did it before I began my football routine, maintaining a baseball mindset fresh from the Saturday action), and the end result was a surprising-for-a-Sunday live card on tap…

Roy Halladay vs Jordan Lyles UNDER 8 - $75 for $60
Oh Jordan Lyles, how you just continueto tussle me around like a free-flowing bag drifting in midst of heavy winds. I’ve been giving you chance-after-chance-after-chance this year to take that next big step forward in your young career, and while you have delivered on occasion, you have also faltered a decent amount. Then in the rare instance I take Lyles in an over, he decides to toss five shut-out innings for the first time in his career, while going pitch-for-pitch with obscure journeyman JustinGermano in one of the oddest 1-0 games Tuesday night in recent memory. Still, the fact remains Lyles was very good, perhaps starting to harness the potential he’s had being one of Houston’s best (And few) young pitchers. I think he’ll build offt hat most recent outing and pitch decently, especially being in his most comfortable setting (Home in a daytime game, which his split stats reveal he’s had his most success in), and that’s all we’ll need. Look who’s opposing him - the great Doc Halladay. Being so late in the season, you can kind of cheat and simply decipher that Halladay’s ERA won’t finish the year over 4, which is exactly the case at this moment. Therefore, if Halladay is to bring it down, he’ll have no better opportunity than to do it against the mostly abysmal Astros’offense on this Sunday afternoon. Just need Lyles to hang in there.

Blake Beavan vs Matt Harrison UNDER 9.5 - $44 for $40
Wow, I absolutely salivated when I first observed this very pitching matchup. It’d be a big bet if the line was 10, which is what it should be considering it’s in Arlington, rather than where it currently stands at 9.5. Even so, there’s potential here with room for error. On one side, you have one of my top five favorite pitchers in baseball, not tomention my No. 1 sleeper coming into the 2012 season (As I continually stress), Blake Beavan, who is still not being given the credit he deserves. He’s been mostly great since being recalled over a month ago (His struggles for some ofthe first half, 100-percent, had everything to do mentally with him getting hit by a line-drive against Detroit), and he’s returning to his old home to take on the team that drafted him, which also happens to be my favorite team, that will be led on this day by my favorite Rangers pitcher, that being Matt Harrison. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone else that has won 16 games in a more quiet fashion than Harrison, who still doesn’t get the respect he deserves being a legitimate upper-rotation starter, despite posting an impressive 3.36 ERA while playing for Texas. That’s pretty significant, and it’s a true testament of how good the southpaw really is. I think he’ll continue his wonderful 2012 season with yet another quality start.

Other 9/16 MLB Over/Under Bets I’m Taking:
Jon Lester vs Brandon Morrow OVER 8 - $25 for $25
Randy Wolf vs Dan Straily OVER 8 - $21 for $20
Adam Wainwright vs Stephen Fife UNDER7.5 - $22 for $20
Jeff Locke vs Chris Volstad UNDER 10.5 - $18 for $15 (Wind blowing out is irrelevant to a sinker-baller like Volstad)

Would Also Recommend, But Not Taking (Winning60-percent of these):
White vs Werner OVER 7.5
Vogelsong vs Corbin OVER 9

**May Add More Over/Under(s) Throughout Day Leading Up To Gametime**

**Remember that if you have a question concerning an over/under, I will gladly assist you with it if I see it before the game starts, even the ones I don't bet on, as I have at least a small vibe on every single over/under from studying this stuff every single day and night**
