2012 MLB O/U Record: 335-309-40, -$1,646 (Was making much bigger bets earlier in the year, with countless fluke bad breaks, obviously. I also undoubtedly lead the country in half-run/one-run losses)
2011 MLB O/U Record: 366-270-42, +$1,104

Only took one game yesterday for a small amount so that whole day was just basically a rare one in which I didn’t really have a full grasp over most of the schedule like I usually do. Today appears to be different, as I’m going after the first game on this Wednesday slate…

Henderson Alvarez vs Andy Pettitte UNDER 9.5 - $36 for $30
I’ll be honest: One of the hooks that latched me onto this under was the extra half-run seemingly tacked on to what I anticipated the line being. Despite that, there’s a good vibe here in this pitching matchup that could win with plenty of room to spare. After all, just because it’s Andy Pettitte’s first start back from an extensive stay on the disabled list - with no rehab starts - doesn’t mean he’s at a disadvantage, which you’d think Vegas suggests based on their higher-than-expected line. When a battle-tested, successful veteran like Pettitte declares himself fully ready for his return, as he did after along bullpen session, it simply means he’s ready, and it’s not like he’s facing a fully completely healthy lineup either (But oh boy, I’ll be very happy if Adeinny Hechavarria is starting today. “The Guaranteed 0-Fer”). In addition, he was doing well before he got hurt, proving he can still be very good at his ripe old age.

In my opinion, and this is pure bias because he’s probably one of my top ten starting pitchers in baseball, the more intriguing storyline entering this specific contest will be how the progress of young Henderson Alvarez continues. I’ve tracked this guy relatively closely since he first burst onto the scene late-last year, and after a promising beginning to 2012, I was surprised to see him suddenly decline over the summer months. However, it appears Alvarez has finally trekked back into the right direction, and I’m just amazed at the mindset this kid must be feeling now. In his most recent start last Thursday, he enjoyed a terrific 7-inning start at home en route to defeating his longtime idol Felix Hernandez, and before that, he won his first game since the end of July by beating the Red Sox in one of the most hostile areas in sports. As a result, Alvarez should feel real good about himself again (Although his strikeout numbers curiously remain down. They were consistently higher in 2011), and I believe his recent track record will play a big role in him pitching effectively for this under today. He certainly has the confidence right now.

**Will Add More Over/Under(s) Throughout Day Leading Up To Gametime**

**Remember that if you have a question concerning an over/under, I will gladly assist you with it if I see it before the game starts, even the ones I don't bet on, as I have at least a small vibe on every single over/under from studying this stuff every single day and night**

Woah, woah, woah. Just saw the Jays' line-up and we've been given a bonus: Omar Vizquel, who I feel like hasn't hit over .220 in four years, will be joining Adeinny Hechavarria in the batting order. In addition, Edwin Encarnacion is out of there, as well as JP Arrencibia, although I always fear back-up catcher Jeff Mathis after what he did to me in that Straily/Cecil Friday night game from a couple of months ago (4-1 game in the ninth with two outs, no one on, Ryan Cook in and about to close it out, before giving up three consecutive hits to the bottom of the Blue Jays' line-up: single, single, and then the homerun to Mathis. Just another typical bad beat I've been on the wrong end this year)

As a result, I'm adding another $12 for $10 on the under

Being a diehard Yankee fan. This play is very fragile because Andy on a 70 pitch count Leash and is always good for that BS 3run bomb. Furthermore, the yanks hit Alvarez well. With that being said I tailed u small and parlayed yanks and under as well. Also the yanks RL. Good luck!!

We could be sweating this one out. I see a 7-2/6-3 ball game yanks. I know the yanks will post up numbers. Let's hope Andy can shut them down through 5/6 innings of play

3 runs end of 3rd........still on pace. I didn't play it, but rooting for you guys!

On that note, Andy gets out of a big Top 3 inning jam.......to the Bot of the inning we go.

Yeah, it's played out pretty predictably. I mean, it's no surprise when a young pitcher gets out to a bad start at storied Yankee Stadium. New York is probably the most significant place to play in in any sport around the world (Not saying that because I live in New York. I don't even like any New York sports teams, as you guys know), which is why I tend to stay away from games at Yankee Stadium because that's such a unique variable that no other setting in the world can contend with. Playing at Yankee Stadium is its own special variable that you don't come close to dealing with anywhere else.

But yeah, Alvarez is in such a groove right now that once he settled down, he can sustain it because he has much leftover confidence from his two previous outstanding starts, including his most recent one when he beat his longtime idol. How many pitchers in baseball history can say they beat their idol and fellow countryman (Both are from Venezeula)? And Pettitte being as good as he was has everything to do with what I stressed... Dead Bat Jays. Adam Lind and Colby Rasmus are horrendous against left-handed pitching (Both hitting well under .200 in that department), two of their biggest threats today, combined with perennial dead weight like Hechvarria, Vizquel, and Gose (At this point in time, at least) make it very difficult to get any kind of rallies going since they're sprinkled throughout the lineup.

And of course, in his 30th career game, Adeiny Hechavarria has notched his second ever two-hit game just as I wrote that last post.

Think of the oddity in that: How many people in the country regularly write about Blue Jay unders in the fashion that I do and immediately point to a random bum like Adeiny Hechavarria? And then he goes out and has two hits with a couple of innings left.

Who are your favorite sports teams?

You got this UNDER!

Never Never Never say that haha. As I've proven countless times this year (Such as the bad break related to Jeff Mathis mentioned in my article in the first post of the thread), an over/under is never over... or under... until the final out is recorded. Can't stress it enough.

My favorite sports teams:

MLB: Texas Rangers (Carlos Lee my favorite player, though, as I mentioned a few times earlier in the season. Bud Norris, as many of you should know, is my favorite pitcher)
NFL: New Orleans Saints
NBA: San Antonio Spurs
NHL: Boston Bruins

Yes, I know a random group. Just wanted to like teams different from everyone else's favorite NY teams in kindergarden/first grade, and finally, they're all good at once (The Spurs can ignore that comment, as they've always been good. The Bruins kind of are in that sentiment as well, since most of their years concluded in very disappointing and deflating playoff runs)
