Uh....don't think so....but I am enjoying the level of play exhibited by both golfers this year...Tiger going out of his way to praise the kid in interviews and Rory giving Tiger his due in other interviews....good for the game...:103631605:103631605

Yeah, I watched it pretty closely today and Tiger was definitely on his game. Also heard that they have played in the same pairing 5 times during the FedEx Cup Playoffs and Tiger has bested him 4 out of 5 times head to head. Tiger is definitely not intimidated. Hoping he can play all 4 rounds this week for a change. I am sure Rory will.

FWIW - you can probably get pretty decent odds on Kuchar right now to be the winner and I think he has as good a shot as anyone. Love his game.

Tiger isn't intimidated, he's just not as dominant as he once was because there are now players that are his equal, it happens in all sports all the time.

The media like to invent these stories (or twist the comments of someone, Greg Norman in this case) when the reality is, for ten years Tiger was the most gifted golfer the world has ever seen and we'll look back in twenty years time and say: 'I watched him do al that.'

He's not quite as good now, he's just one of a number who can be the best on any given day. Other players don't intimidate him but his fear of not being able to reproduce the greatness of ten years ago might.

WOW on the title thread!

can u imagine, 10 years ago, someone questioning whether Tigr would be intimidated by a 23 yr old?

what would the odds have been ? +12000

LOL

he's not intimidated...he's just not as good as the kid. The balding old man's best days are done.
But when he wins , his pack of followers will proclaim, 'he's back'......:)

His best days are done, no doubt, but he still remains one of about thirty golfers that have a legit shot at winning a major everytime one is played, which is proved by the fact something like 14 different golfers have won the last 16 Majors and Tiger isn't one of them, primarily because he collapses in the third round of every Major he plays in nowadays if anywhere near the lead, although his Major finishes are still impressive, despite that.

In the midst of a complete swing change through 12 of the last 16 majors......if he had the wedge game he has had his last 3 or 4 tournaments, I think he would have won one major this year.......Dont kid yourself, Rory and Tiger have a big lead on the pack.

Tiger didn't win a Major this year because when he got into contention he couldn't consolidate his lead and actually went backwards - in the 3rd round everytime - which is precisely the reason he doesn't have a lead on the pack, he's part of the pack. In my opinion of course, just my two cents.

He's the greatest golfer I've ever seen.

I was a big fan of Norman back in the day, but don't agree on his take about the Rory intimidation.. Doubt if he would be that friendly to Rory if he was intimidated. LIke VD, I actually appreciate the way both players are respecting each other.. Maybe there is hope for Tiger and Phil too !

Phil just had the misfortune of always being in the same era as Tiger....Phil would have had many more wins without Tiger around...

Great players come around only so often..I have seen three in my lifetime...Arnie, Jack, and Tiger....

Yeah Greg Norman got shit coming out his mouth. Not that Rory needs a Steak-Horse(backer), but I bet Greg Norman would NOT stake(back) Rory with his own money against Tiger heads-up. Tiger should go public and tell Greg Norman you can bet what you can bring and I'll show you what intimidation is Greg.

Then you will be seeing the new TIGER SHARK clothing line.......................

I think Greg would gladly back Rory. Piss off Tiger? This is 2012 not 2000. No one fears him. Oh contraire, some feel sorry for him- folds like a cheap suit weekend of a major ? Hitting fades to left pin placements (liekze anyone )?

Norman wishes he had just half the career that Tiger had and will have....some on the tour would kill for Tiger's downfall on the tour during the past four years.....Tiger's last four years on the tour will not change my mind that his domination during the early years was probably the best years that any golfer ever accomplished...

Tiger might be intimidated by the tougher courses ! His flaws in his game seem to pop up during the tough events...

And you're as clueless as Norman, all the guys out there playing their AAA best game and Tiger is playing sub-par(shit) golf and playing at everyone else's level. And you and everyone else think that everyone is better than Tiger.

All of them could only wish if when their playing sub-par(shit) golf and still play as good as Tiger is playing now.
