borgata is NOT a dump... They mean AC is a dump ( True )
Where you are going to be is fine. and if you were at a Hotel "On" the Boardwalk you will be fine as well.
Couple of blocks in, not so fine.
Believe me, I dislike AC myself. That's why I go to Vegas more than AC
but where you are staying, outside of the New Revel. borgata is the best Hotel.
thanks guys... didn't feel like making the trek out to Vegas right now but needed to get out of FL for a few days.... I always like to explore the darker side of places a bit, but I will take what seems like unanimous advice and not go to far off the boardwalk....

If you like seafood the best place in town is doc's oyster house. Some of the best seafood I have had in my entire life. If you are looking to grab a sandwich hit whitehouse subs. The place is really good. For cheap drinks go to wild wild west bar at bally's 2 dollar drinks and shots 24/7. For a good local bar I would go to Irish Pub. It's right off the boardwalk and never closes. Borgata is nice, best poker room in town by far in my opinion. You should have a good time.

If you do go to the Boardwalk.. The White House is a MUST ! I'm talking about a MUST ! There is Nothing on their Menu that is bad....
Try to avoid going at Noon... you either go around 11am-11:30 or after 1:30
also try to avoid Dinner time... like 6pm
since you have never been, I can't tell you to call in an order because you don't know the menu. But this is a MUST go !!
Every time that I have been to AC I get White House to go when I leave
between myself and the Wife we get 5 Full Subs. We each eat 1 half on the way Home, then Dinner that Night is another half ( or for me a Whole )
Cheese Steak is one of the best... ( not really a Philly cheese steak ) But I still will take it over most. Italian Sub is a Must too. I also like the Hamburger
Everything is Fresh ! Meat is cut in the morning.... and the Bread is to die for.
Borgata is great, a very active and lively casino (at least on weekend nights)
the Waterclub connected to the Borgata is also fun, bring your swimsuit if you're staying a few days
lots of great restaurants in town, including a few at the Borgata. Place has some active night clubs too
do go to the boardwalk on a sunny day, visit the Revel and Caesars, avoid Bally's which is a smoke filled armpit (unless of course, you like smoke filled armpits)
shows are very scarce, you're lucky if a good one happens to be there your weekend (I just bought tickets for Aerosmith and Cheap Trick Thanksgiving weekend BTW)
