"Broke" is about professional athletes that earn big contracts and end up wasting it.

Vince Young comes to mind after his agent said last week that Young just "needs a job."

I know some of you guys don't like ESPN much but 30 for 30 documentaries are always very well done.

Tonight 8 EDT.

Yea, I have the DVR set. I enjoy the E:60 programs and the 30 for 30. The one on University of Miami was the best, I think.

i listened to bill simmons BS report today (from yesterday) and he had the director on and they talked like it was gonna be excellent...they were saying how it could have been a series on its own so im dying to see how they condense it down to 1.5hours...

The scene at the end of the Ali - Holmes doc is moving, sad, glorious and brilliantly directed, all at the same time, impossible not to cry and I'm not ashamed to say I do everytime I see it.

Not a big fan of that director's films. I think he did the Miami Hurricane one and I didn't like that one either.

"Broke" had a good message and quite eye opening for sure but not surprising in the least bit.

It was pretty good, obviously problems these guys got a microcosm of society at large and people keeping up with joneses. A ton of wealth created in this country since the Reagan boom starting in the early 80s and a lot of people just couldn't handle it, getting way too far ahead of themselves. Good lesson for everyone to spend within your means and invest it the right way....

It definitely is a microcosm of society for sure. When I go to buy something, I ask myself if I want it or need it and then purchase accordingly. These guys have no clue about being conservative with their money.
