2012 MLB O/U Record: 361-328-47, -$1,406 (Was making much bigger bets earlier in the year, with countless fluke bad breaks, obviously. I also undoubtedly lead the country in half-run/one-run losses)
2011 MLB O/U Record: 366-270-42, +$1,104

So, this is it, huh? For literally the past 26 weeks of my life - literally every single day during those 26 weeks (Except during the all-star break) - I have come on here and shared my personal thoughts and over/under bets in-depth with all of you on a daily basis in the form of usually-800-words-or-more articles. First, I want to thank everyone who reads my stuff regularly, or even once in awhile, as it is the good readership and feedback that has kept me running every single day, which is something you absolutely need to accomplish a challenge like this, especially when you’re not getting paid. Secondly, I just want to say that it’s been a pleasure writing here, as there are some real good people here, which mostly contributes to the very positive setting that is consistently on display here at The RX so that’s a tip of the cap to pretty much all of you. I hope in the long run, I was able to win you money, but if not, just know that, and I know this might be an arrogant claim, there wasn’t a single person out there who worked harder than I did when it came to MLB Over/Unders. Yes, there are countless millions who all do what we do - gamble - but when it comes to this particular bet, just trust me, there isn’t somebody else out there who put the hours that I put in or wrote the extensively long articles related to it that I would post on a daily basis. Period. Unless you can find me someone else on the Internet who did exactly what I did, while putting in the same tireless hours that utilized, you cannot convince me otherwise. And trust me with that, too, because I’ve looked. I spent countless hours every single day and night doing this stuff, breaking down every single pitching matchup of literally every single day, and it’s just surreal that we’re once again here at the end of the year. Of course, I’ll still be with all of you every day during the playoffs, but as I’ve mentioned many times, the playoffs are tougher than regular season. There are no guarantees when it comes to playoff games because each said playoff game is its own identity and standalone variable, with mostly little precedent to help decipher an upcoming pitching matchup. But, there’s always promise if you get a real good grip on a series… we’ll see what happens when the time comes later this week. In the meantime, allow me to finally (And The Rock means finallyyyy) break down a day that I never thought would come - the final day of this bizarre and interesting 2012 Major League Baseball season…

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim @ Seattle Mariners (Best Bet) - Price TBD
Jered Weaver vs Blake Beavan
UNDER 7

And after all I’ve been through in these past six months, my final best bet comes down to a game that has, amazingly - who else? - Blake Beavan. For newer readers of my articles, it’s too bad you missed out on my Blake Beavan work throughout this entire year, as I am on record of saying at the very tippy top of the season how Beavan was my No. 1 sleeper coming into 2012 (Lucas Harrell and James McDonald being two of my other top three, remember). With that harness over him, I’ve been able to produce an excellent record in his over/unders, mostly in the variety of unders, and while he hasn’t panned out as quickly as I had hoped, you can see, though, that since he was recalled from Triple-A in mid-July, he’s been nothing short of terrific, as evident in his 7-5 record and 3.73 ERA. In eight of his 15 starts over that span, he’s allowed just three runs or less, which is surely a sign that he’s still on the way to inevitably (In my opinion) becoming a legitimate perennial upper-rotation starter. I stood by Beavan when he got sent midseason, and I think I have successfully proven to all of you that his misfortunes in that time were an absolute fluke, due to him getting hit by a line-drive against the Tigers, thus completely messing with his mindset and mentality (As it would do to any normal human starting pitcher, and has done to countless others over the years). In fact, Beavan was thriving even before getting nailed by the liner, so it would be wise to suggest that had it not been for that one unlucky incident, he would have had a stellar 34-35-start year. But the line-drive incident happened, and given how Beavan has performed in his second 2012 chance, there is still no doubt in my mind that he is going to enjoy wild success in the near-future. Another reason for that is his obvious hunger to getting back to where he was, which he’s exhibited during these past three months. I’ve been reading and following Beavan as close as anybody over the years and can assure you he is a very prideful pitcher. Thus, he’s going towant to go into the offseason as strong as possible, and a matchup with arguably the best pitcher in his league, at home where he also does his best work (4.12 ERA, 1.22 WHIP at Safeco for the season, compared to 5.11 ERA, 1.32 WHIP on the road), could further bring out the best in him. It would be so poetic for Beavan to win my final regular season over/under of the year.

Wow, how many articles written about this game in the entire country focused significantly more on Blake Beavan than it did on the other starter for this game, the great Jered Weaver? But that’s just what I do. And aside from that, there really isn’t much to add about Weaver’s greatness? Here he is, another year, another excellent campaign that sees him once again for the American League Cy Young award, something that surprisingly has eluded him all throughout his brilliant career. I mean, he’s come painfully close a few times, and if he doesn’t win it again this year, that would be exactly the case againin 2012 because he is so - sooo - right there in the running. After all, Weaver is 20-4 with a sparkling 2.73 ERA; what else he could possibly do? Oh, and his WHIP of just 1.00 ranks among the best as well. The only item of concern is that Jered Weaver is a bit more human on the road than he is at home, but I don’t think that’s something that will come into play as much because this is a standalone variable. Weaver’s last startof the year and he has something to win - an award that he’s never been honored with before, and the most prestigious one a starting pitcher can win in the world. Does he want it? Of course he does. The only concentration he’ll have in his mind heading into this start is pumping out his usual quality start effort, and hopefully for them, winning the ballgame. In a park like Safeco, he has a favorable matchup that makes it more likely it will happen. This is a real potential pitcher’s duel with each starter potentially feeding off the other’s success throughout the game. Let’s watch it unfold, and hopefully, secure an under for my final bet of the 2012 season.

**May Add More Over/Under(s) Throughout Day Leading Up To Gametime**

**Remember that if you have a question concerning an over/under, I will gladly assist you with it if I see it before the game starts, even the ones I don't bet on, as I have at least a small vibe on every single over/under from studying this stuff every single day and night**

Good luck. Feeling on cin stl? Bailey vs rookie

Nah. It's funny you bring that game up actually because it was quite depressing seeing the final three pitching matchups on the final full slate of the season... each one has a pitcher making his first ever Major League start, and two of the three don't even have any notable pedigree, meaning it wouldn't really be wise to place any sort of significant bet on one of those aforementioned matchups unless you have a history and a feel for one of those new pitchers

Yup. Typical horrific beat with Weaver leaving after the first with an injury... what is that, the fifth time that's happened to me this year? (Ex. Brandon Morrow leaving after two pitches in a June start, Zack Greinke being ejected after two batters in that Astros game, etc... "lost" each one). Wouldn't be appropriate if I didn't get bit by another bad break.

If there's another thing I've taught everyone this year, it's that the person who made up that bullshit "all breaks even out in the end" is a complete retard, with my 2012 season being absolute 100-percent proof. Bad beats FAR FAR FARRRR outweighed the rare good ones I've received this year

Un-fucking-believable. Absolutely disgusted right now. Just truly disgusted at these fucking breaks THAT NEVER GO IN MY FAVOR.

Let's see, could I have been anymore right with my main reason for taking this under? Hmm, well considering Blake Beavan had arguably THE BEST FUCKING START OF HIS CAREER, having tossed 8 shutout innings against one of the best offenses in baseball, no, I could not have been anymore 100-percent right. And then Jered Weaver leaves after one inning with "general fatigue?" Yeah, fuck you. Game shouldn't even go on my record, since I didn't bet on Jerome Williams vs Blake Beavan, but what else is new? Just another fucking bad beat in a year where I undoubtedly led the entire country in them.

Fuck you, Vegas. This is just yet another example where people who clearly made the WRONG bet (Ex. 99-percent of people who took this over did it because they obviously thought Beavan would get hit - those people were obviously 100-percent wrong) we're rewarded with a "win." Whatever.

Not how I wanted to go into the playoffs, especially since I've DOMINATED each of the past seven days - just as I promised all of you when I said to tail me hard especially in this last week. It's just such a shame this latest bad beat leaves a disgusting taste in my mouth, but luckily there's a day off tomorrow (First since the all-star break... weird) so hopefully that time off can get this bad taste out of mouth

P.S. Remember, I'm a Rangers fan so this day possibly couldn't have gone worse. Absolutely sick to my stomach
