I can't stand the opening song they do for their games. Can't these shows get original songs rather than do rip offs of hit songs. I think they have more than enough money to do it. I am typically late for the start of the Thursday night game but was able to get in on time and when I saw it, I just laughed and said how embarrassing to the NFL and to Blitzkrieg Bop

I know the guy and he Knows the game of football like no one I've ever met before. I agree he talks too much during the game but more times than not he has a valid point to make.

I'm just glad TWC finally is showing the NFL NETWORK and the REDZONE CHANNEL. I hate to have to go to a bar to see the Thursday night games, especially on Turkey Day.

Mike Mayock, Never shuts up, And has to break down every play, then has to analyze all the players talents and weaknesses. He Thinks he is doing the NFL draft every time he announces. always watch the game on mute.

Last week in the Ravens game he made the dumbest comment of all time. Browns were down 10 driving... just missed a TD which would have cut it to 3. Dawson then kicked a 50+ FG to make it a 7pt game. On the Ravens next drive he said "if Little holds that ball we have a tie game"... guess he thought td's were worth 10? And of course no correction from the announcer.

To be quite honest I've never noticed a lisp. I turned on the Browns/Giants game to hear Dan Dierdorf talking. I had to turn it off. I just couldn't listen to his lisping. I haven't listened to him since MNF and back then he got things wrong consistently. I don't know if he is better now because I won't listen to him.

Now I turn on the post-game show to see Shannon Sharpe spitting all over the place.

Don't get me started on Lou Holtz.

you guys always have a complaint about the announcers of a sporting event on tv,hey if you could do better than go ahead, but mike mayock knows so much more about football than all of you will ever know.he gives great views on the game while its being played, also if you don't like him ask for dennis miller again, now he's a fucking idiot

Mayock is extremely knowlegeable about the game of football and has strong passion for his profession however I think what irritates some people in combination of his speech lisp is how he will over emphasize a particular point. The other night it was the QB throwing to the wrong shoulder of the wide receiver. If the QB had thrown to the inside shoulder instead of the outside shoulder, the pass would have been caught. First Mayock made the point , then repeated it during the replay, then make comment it again before the teams broke the huddle for the next play. Most people who watch football will pick up on a particular technical comment the first time and Maycok just seems to be trying at times to teach Football For Dummies. I do find myself turning down the TV when he commentates but I do not give him the full mute.
