Well, the playoffs have finally arrived and IMHO the teams that remain are loaded. This promises to be a very competitive post season starting with both wild card elimination games today, one of which I feel very strongly about. So let's get to it!

Year To Date Record: (11-14)(-12.36)

5* (4-5)(-8.70)
1* (7-9)(-3.66)

5* Atlanta -172

Good luck everyone!

I think its going to be san fran vs wash and oak vs ny yankees with wash winning it all in an election year.Wash looks tough pitcher wise and so does oakland.

No opinion on the Baltimore/Texas game! Glad to hear you like Atlanta as well! Appears that it could be a pitcher's dual but may not pan out that way! As for it being the best pitching match-up of the weekend, I would beg to differ as the Reds/Giants match-ups features Matt Cain and Johnny Cueto. Best of luck to you as well today my friend! :toast:

Of course, I am hopeful that the Giants can make it to the World Series as I have futures on them to win the NL Pennant (6-1) and the World Series (17-1), however, the NL is loaded with quality teams, any one capable of becoming the World Champions. This season's playoffs promise to be very high level quality baseball. Sit back and enjoy!

I think Braves will have to hit at least one HR OMT. The MLB commentators pointed out Molina being the best defensive catcher in the game who has a cannon down to second and loves to try the pick off on first. The threat of Molina will leave any Braves basrunners on first one or half a step back to the bag increasing St Louis probabilty of turning double plays according to the experts. Jason Heyward is my key player today. Look to see if Heyward can jack one out hopefully with a few ducks on the pond. Terrible beat last night with Southern California. Still trying to regroup and focus on today. BOL with the Wild Card.

I dont think the san fran matchup will be a pitchers dual. Both have a higher era in nite games.Cuetois 7-7at nite and doesnt pitch that well on the road.Cain is 8-5 at nite with a2.79 era ,he pitches better in day games too.Think this will be a 5* on san fran tomorrow .Just waiting to see how today turns out 1st.

Thank you! Appreciate your encouragement. Will take it one day at a time as handicapping the playoffs is different then the regular season. Best of luck on your parlay.

As for the Giants tomorrow, glad to hear you like them and feel so strongly about Cain. Just a tidbit of information. In the 2010 post season, Cain threw 21 & 1/3 innings and never gave up a run. Wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of that performance. But, honestly, the series with the Reds promises to be a very tough match-up for both teams. Should be great baseball. Best of luck to you throughout the post season. :toast:

Not if Medlen shuts them out! Lohse is not as good away from home. Whatever it takes to beat the Cardinals will be good enough for me.

Sorry to hear about your bad beat last night! Just put that one behind you and watch your Braves move on to the NLDS against Washington. Best of luck to you as well my friend! :toast:

As I said in a post above, in 2010 Cain pitched 21 & 1/3 innings in the post season and didn't give up one run. Plus, the Giants batting average at night is much better then during the daytime. As for tomorrow's game being a 5*, absolutely not! I'll just be pleased if the Giants win Game 1.

Baltimore +180 or pass.

No way I lay -200 the way Texas played down the stretch. I don't play run lines on the home team either, for those thinking about -1.5 at about even money. I know about Darvish against teams that haven't faced him before, but Baltimore has some good numbers too (record after a day off, etc..) I'm taking a shot with Baltimore at that big number.

Atlanta looks solid tonight, I just don't lay that much juice so its a pass for me. Others will and thats cool, good luck to all of the Atlanta backers tonight. GL Ted, I know you really like them tonight.
