Never buy anything...hard enough to beat -110 much less -130 or higher. Spread doesn't matter in most NFL games anyway. How much do you really like a game anyway if you need to buy down? I set my own lines and play the games accordingly.
Good insight here. I probably buy the half points too often. Don't believe I've ever bought a whole point. Just something about seeing -125 or -130 keeps me from doing it.
It all depends on the price you get. I'd buy ten points if somebody was selling them for less than they are worth. I could see buying a point from +6.5 to +7.5 as about the only buy I'd do other than around a three. few half points are worth the price.
