MistaFlava's 2012 MLB Playoffs Record: 0-0 (+0.00 Units)

Welcome to my 2012 MLB Baseball Playoffs thread. I'll be posting my picks here throughout the post-season. I have not been able to post much this year but I did finish TOP 30 in the Covers MLB contest and used that site to track my picks.

2012 MLB Playoffs

Wildcard: Pending...

Best of luck to everyone these playoffs. Should be a good time and I think we can make some money.

Atlanta Braves ML -172 (25 Units) ***PLAY OF THE DAY***

I don't care how good the Cardinals were with Kyle Lohse on the mound, they were only 1-4 in his last five starts as an underdog. Don't like the spot. The Braves are too good at home going 9-1 in their last 10 as a home favorite and they are 12-0 in Medlen's last 12 home starts. Need I say more? They are also 25-1 in his last 25 starts overall and again need I say more than that? The Braves beat St. Louis in five of the last six meetings and I think we might see the OVER hit here too.

Trend of the Game: Atlanta is 25-1 in Kris Medlen's last 25 starts.

Atlanta 8, St. Louis 1

Baltimore Orioles ML +185 (10 Units)

This is one of the worst betting lines I have ever seen in terms of disrespect for a team. The Orioles come in on a high from having made the playoffs while the Rangers come off a horrendous AL West blowing series sweep at the hands of the Athletics. Yu Darvish has been pretty bad in big game situations (even the All Star Game he was bad) and Baltimore is 10-2 in their last 12 games versus a right handed starting pitcher. They are also 4-0 in Joe Saunders last four starts with 4 or more days rest and they have always been good in the first game of a series so this one game deal could be good. The Rangers come in having lost 5 of their last 6 and they are 1-4 in their last five Game 1 situations so this one game deal is not meant for them.

Trend of the Game: Baltimore is 10-2 in their last 12 games versus a right handed starter.

Baltimore 5, Texas 3

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
