The answer to "what's the real difference?" comes down to you and your life. For example, does anyone love you? Does anyone depend on you - financially and or emotionally? If the answer is yes to any of that, then of course the difference of life and death is the impact to those around you. If the answer is no... meaning nobody loves you and nobody depends on you in the many ways people can depend on each other - well then the difference might be dying alone with suicide or choosing to live and fill your life up to have some meaning. I've always thought that a man alone in life can always pack his bags and head to the tropics. Find a means of living somewhere nice with minimal responsibility. Shed the skin and start over simple. Suicide is just a waste of life. Not meant in a derogatory way.. meant in the truest sense.. it's really a waste of life. Life is full of possibility. Go get it man.
