i would feel confident against 90% of the pitchers in the league and take oakland tonight. verlander is in the 10% i would worry about. scoring first should be huge since i think parker has the stuff that could shut this team down to 3 or less runs.
maybe the a's take some chances with aggressive *smart* baserunning. wtf was gallego thinking last night!? maybe look for some running game. i'm not sure the success rate against either JV or their starting C. anyone else?
either way, its been a great year as an a's fan and should be a tight fun ballgame. i'm requesting a 'bernie lean' or 'balfour rage' icon .
