Week #6 "Play Of The Week" Result: WIN

NFL Week #6 "Play Of The Week"

Last week my play of the week was the Buffalo Bills as a 5 point dog at the Arizona Cardinals. They not only covered the line but they won the game straight up and snapped the Cardinals 8 game home winning streak. Rian Lindell made a chip shot 25 yard field goal to give the Bills the victory. The Bills won after allowing 1,201 yards and 97 points in their previous two games. The Bills stayed in Arizona to practice last week after the 45-3 loss in San Francisco. "We were away from the distractions and it was just us here in Arizona," Byrd said. "It was a chance for us to soul search, get corrected what we needed to get corrected without the distractions of being at home. It was great for us mentally." This is the 2nd time this season a West Coast/East Coast team didn't travel cross country after their previous game to avoid the lengthy travel and both times it has paid off with a victory.

I am currently preparing my play and write-up for my Week #7 "Play Of The Week" and I will have it posted within the next hour or so.

Precip: 0%

Rushing: Lynch - 128 car, 549 yds, 2 tds
Receiving: Rice - 20 rec, 280 yds, 2 tds

San Francisco Leaders
Passing: Smith - 113-167, 1287 yds, 8 tds
Rushing: Gore - 87 car, 470 yds, 4 tds
Receiving: Davis - 23 rec, 340 yds, 4 tds

This write-up will be short. Both teams come into this game with different emotions from their previous game. Seattle, once again, provided us with another miracle comeback. The San Franciaco 49ers looked horrible and were beat by a team that, suprisingly enough, had more motivation comming into the game in my opinion. The playing field is even as far as rest is concerned as both teams will have the same turnaround for this game. Anyways, lets look at the line. Looking at my numbers I have the San Francisco 49ers as a -1.5 point favorite on a neutral field. So, basically, with the game being played at the Stick, San Francisco should be about a 4-4.5 point favorite. As you can see this line opened at San Francisco -9 and the public hasn't hesitated to take the Seattle bait and drive the number down to -7 at some books. With this number the books are handing us a Seattle team with a very good defense 9 points on primetime television? Well, if you know me you would know if the books hand me something I usually say, "Thanks, but NO THANKS". I would have layed 9 points with the 49ers but since the number has dropped I will say "Thank You" to the public and just give away the current line of 7. This will be the second week in a row I will say no thank you to the books. Last week the books were kind enough to offer me the Arizona Cardinals -5 versus a Buffalo team that was embarassed by 40 points the prior week by San Francisco but I had to respectfully refuse and hop on the Buffalo bandwagon for a week. I believe the San Francisco 49ers will have no problem winning this game by 10+ points this week.

I may add another play during the week as I did last week with Dallas covering at Baltimore, we shall see.

Pick: San Francisco -7, -110

I like it. Good luck! If 49ers won yesterday, and Seahawks lost........this line would EASILY be -10. Keep pounding Seattle, JOE PUBS!!!

For all of the NFL action junkies I would recommend a play on the San Diego Chargers tonight versus the Denver Broncos. Peyton Manning just hasn't played well in his career versus San Diego. In his career he has made more mistakes with the Football versus the Chargers than versus any other team in the league.
