Peyton Manning still a top 5 QB

I'm not a fan of the bolts or broncos or Manning. I was surprised at the half-time score (Manning down by 24 pts) but STILL thought Manning was going to find a way to win this game. It's just what he does. 13 of 14 for 167 yards in that second half. Obviously had it not been for Decker tackling himself the final score would have been much different but most important, as a viewer, I could tell that Manning absoultely did not give up on himself. Long after most would have (look at the 49/Giants game) he truly believed he could win the game, so I did as well. He's still getting his form back but he doesn't take time off so i'm expecting an even better performance in the next game.

That being said, Peytons still a top 5 quarterback IMO anyone else agree?

was just thinking the same thing....If I had to pick 1 qb for a game TODAY, manning would be in the top 5.

last nights come back was a very nice surprise.. i actually said at halftime.. i guess manning wont be having a stellar season... might never overcome the hump.. then all of a sudden heh

Manning will not make any mental mistakes,also a great game manager, still a leader and a coach on the field. I rate him top 5 currently and will not bet against him. What he may have lost in physical capabilities is made up for in his leadership experience. A pure class act. Thanks rx for your forum.

I think he's the best QB in the league (Brady has had better teams) and his supporting cast on offense this year is downright scary.

7 tds isnt impressive. its the NFL turning into Arena league football. this is what the people want though. boring football imo.

He is special -but have to agree the league is changing -to favor Offense --find me a coaching staff that can figure a Defensive scheme to offset these rule changes and You will have your Superbowl winner -

You know; if I were him, I would give it 1 last go around. Just 1 more season with Denver.

First off, he needs to take a big paycut which shouldn't be a big deal to him. He is somewhere around 20 million in 2016. Money is not an issue with him at all. Even when playing does are long gone.

They have 7 of the 11 defensive starters on contract for 2016. That doesn't count Von Miller who they would franchise if they didn't come to contract. Mannings pay cut $$ could fund his 2016 season. So vthey at least have 8 returning on defense. Also key defensive back ups who contributed are back. Only defensive guys not signed are Trevathon and Marshall ( 2 inside backers) and a DT. They should have 9 or 10 guys back on that defense and only Ware is the only one up there in age I think.

The O line gets Clady back, all offensive skill guys are under contract. Manning likely will not be throwing for 4,600 yards and 40 TD's but they would have 1 of the better back ups in the league in Osweiller when Manning gets hurt. Chances to win Super Bowls are so few. As long as health checks out, I say he should give it 1 more season.
