espn just did a nice little segment on how both pitchers are tired, especially cain.........no way i would bet this under tonight, both guys will give up 2+ runs through 5 innings. i like a 5-4 type game

Not saying it won't go over but these two guys have had really good seasons and are both experienced pitchers. They are both currently in 'good form' and I would never underestimate adrenalin in situations like this. Additionally, every pitcher on these staffs except probably Vogelsong and Carpenter will be available for tonight's game.

I will go out on a limb and say Wainwright isn't available, so that he IS available on Wednesday...............after that, it's a toss up. Unless he pitches only one inning.

There is no Wednesday unless they win tonight.

Cain is not in good form.

I'd have to concur with that comment...

Matt Cain (R)

Lohse 3.27 road ERA...Cain 2.03 at home. Admittedly, I think the Gigantes left something like 11 men on base against Lohse in game 3. Hard to imagine if that happens again, they wouldn't capitalize on it.

I tend to stay away from totals on these "must win" games as you're not exactly handicapping only your starting pitchers, who will have a short leash.

the 023.5 HRE looks good as well. both pitchers will give up at least a hit per inning. should go over

Lohse should of got blasted last start. I would take first 5 over instead of game with quick hooks on both guys.

That would be much more logical if the premise is the starters are gassed. Good comment.

yeah good point i should have taken the o3.5 +105 for 5 innings

never even thought of that what a bum gambler i am lol, either of these guys could give up 3+ runs, quick hook or not if there are 3 runs up on a pitcher its already to late to get him out..........i might have to go with the o3.5 as well i think Cain will be the more tired guy tonight and unless he gets help from the homeplate ump he will get hit
