The San Francisco Giants have not lost a game in which Barry Zito has started since August 02, 2012 which covers a span of 13 games. In those games the San Francisco Giants have averaged 6.15 RRP. Barry Zito also receives pretty good run support from his team, 4.69 runs per 9 innings during the regular season and 6.50 runs per 9 innings during the post season this year. Tonights umpire, Gerry Davis is known for having one of the tightest strikezones in the National league and the average runs per 9 innings with him behind the plate is 8.8

The plan for the Giants tonight is if Zito gets in early trouble we might see a early call to the bullpen to Timmy Lincecum. Well, that may not be good either as the Tigers offense ranks 2nd in MLB against right handed pitching. Add to that the Giants have the 10th ranked offense in the league against right handed pitching.

Last but not least, your over wager may be protected by Barry Zito, if he comes out and has a sub par performance, which he is know for occasionally, the Tigers could cover more than half of this total on their own. This total also provides us with a winner if for some reason we are looking at a 3-3 tie late in the game. Someone has to win the game right?

This total is a little to low with a rusty Verlander and a unreliable Zito on the bump tonight.

Good luck with whatever you decide. I will have action on the over 6.5 tonight.

Good luck to you also. I ended up buying a half run to 7 OVER +120 to receive 30 cents of increased juice on my side. The only risk is a push if the game total lands on exactly 7 and I believe it's worth the risk.

I don't know if we will be lucky enough to have the game go over early but I like our chances for the over to pay us at the window for the full game.

Yeah I hope your right at least for game #1. The Giants have the pitching to hold down the Tigers line-up. The Yankees mediocre starting staff held down the Tigers line up so I don't see why the Giants can't later in the series. If the Yankees would have averaged just 3 RPG they would be in the World Series vs the Giants.

Any worriers about shadows with the 5pm start?
No. Well, actually I am hoping the Giants can hit a few balls to the Tigers starting left fielder tonight. The Tigers starting right fielder tonight, Delmon Young, hasn't played in the outfield in the last 52 games. Remember in 2010 with the World Series matchup with the Giants and Rangers? The Rangers threw Vlad Guerrero in right field and the ball seemed to find him on every play which resulted in numerous misplayed balls and a few errors.

No, in all seriousness, I don't think it will affect the offenses at all.

Thanks Memphis for the correction. I stated Delmon Young was starting in right field. He actually is starting in left field but regardless the last time he found himself starting in the outfield was 52 games ago.
