Me and VD were at a racetrack together and I asked him how he did on the race. Gave me this dumbass look and went into his pocket to look at his bet. Told me he bet $50 to win on the 8 Horse! Then, and you never seen a look like this in your life. Clerk had given him $50 to win on the SEVEN HORSE! Horse paid like $20 bucks! Think I got a free beer and sandwich out of that one. Will say that VD is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Not only does he play Santa every year - he is Santa! Just don't ever look at him anywhere near the golf course and think you'll beat him - Run Do Not Hesitate - Run!
When he handed me a nickel for the orphans project I was helping with. The guy never met me in life but had a big enough heart to take a gamble on whether or not it was going where I said it was going. Needless to say I spent it on an ounce of chronic and a couple of cheap hookers but his intentions were good and thats what matters.

First one was when we were at a Bash in Vegas and went out to eat at Lotus of Siam, the award-winning Thai restaurant. We had a table of about 10 people and he paid for everyone.
Second one, VD and I were playing poker at the same table at Planet Hollywood, again at a Bash. I was in a rather big pot and had a straight runner going. The guy playing against me bet $20 so I called. You see I also had a flush possibility. I caught the straight and picked up the pot. Viejo didn't see that I had a flush possibility and asked me why I bet. I told him in addition to winning the straight I also had a flush possibility which was 1 in 4 and $20 was less than 1/4th of the pot.
Third one, Green Doberman, ttinco and I went down to Costa Rica in December of 2007 for the CR Bash. Viejo was kind enough to drive us around town including taking us to the Del Ray. All the ladies there knew and love Viejo.
