Most bar goers in town know a guy who goes by the name of Hurricane Wayne who rides his 10 speed from bar to bar where he knows food will be served for free, he gets breakfast, lunch and dinner and I have never seen him stay for more then one beer

It blows my mind how much better newspaper cleans glass than paper towels. I was at the laundramat yesterday had some time to kill and a spray bottle of simple green. I grabbed some old newspapers laying around and cleaned my wheels really good.....then I actually sort of washed the truck by spraying it with SG and wiping it with newspaper....not exactly a carwash but good enough for a 2000 Ford beater truck.

Pretzels for breakfast, peanuts for lunch and popcorn for dinner.

yummy !

you can often get a fairly decent meal at a happy hour maybe 4-7 pm or so and maybe just buy a $ 2-3 beer and tip a buck, no deals like that near where I live, but they exist in more urban areas for sure.

Here's my favorite -

When I get a jar full of coins, I take them to the Coinstar machine at the store and cash them in for an Amazon gift certificate. There's no fee. If I cash them out, they charge 9%. If I roll them and take them to the bank, they charge me for depositing them (not to mention the hassle of rolling them up). I buy so much stuff on Amazon, this is a great deal.

My bank has a coin counting machine in the lobby and its free for customers. Must be fairly new because I just now realized it was there.

what does the sugar do ?

I have a bank with a no fee coin counter, I toss aside quarters for laundry, fucking pennies shouldn't exist, the half cent was canned in 1857 , and it was worth like 10 cents back then.

I make my own lens cleaner for eyeglasses , etc.

75% rubbing alcohol

25% water

a couple of drops of Dawn or similar

way cheaper , just as good !

Anybody that uses paper towels on glass over newsprint is a fool !....this isn't some extreme cheap thing . like wiping your (__*__) with rags and washing them for re-use....that's GROSS !

I'm after practical stuff

newsprint works great on glass.....it works well on other surfaces than glass , as well !

Clean a window with a paper towel, then do one with scrap newspaper.....report back to me !

keep the cup of soda from McDonald's in your car so you can get more diet coke any time you drive past one. It's only stealing if you feel bad about it

Of course the only way to save money by being cheap is to not buy stuff

Why not just clean the glass when you stop at the gas station? Having to always have old newspapers laying around the house is a cost I don't care to endure

Learn how to time your number two around showers, cuts way back on how much toliet paper to buy and leaves you feeling so much cleaner

It leaves a shine after it dries....I don't use it the interior of my car or anything but it will definitely make the tires shine.

works fine for me, dude ! Most things can be made at home to work just as well as store bought.

I'm not sure what your complaining about, but,,,

newspaper can substitite for paper towels in many situations is all I'm saying. ...esp. if your wiping your wheels or something that isn't anywhere close to sanitary like using a paper towel as a napkin or such.

Newsprint is insanely good as a paper towel substitute....and free !

I learned these tricks from my parents ( born 1919 and 1920) , so they grew up during the Great Depression.

Well OK, I'm cheap and I'll cut a tube of toothpaste in half.....but you'll never clean a window as well with a paper towel vs. some newspaper. TRY IT !

newsprint kind of works for other stuff, too ! use your imigination. It certainly works for stuff like cleaning your wheels....I wouldn't put it on the dinner table....but newsprint paper is sort like free paper towels....

The coin machine at my bank is also free unless you go over cashing out $200 worth of coins. Then they charge a small fee.

When tooth-paste gets low, take a pair of scissors and cut the tube in half. Last for weeks after that...
