I was looking into possibly getting a couple as Christmas presents but am just amazed at the prices. $700 for the worst seat in the house, parking is running around $80. Some are looking to get as much as $10,000 a ticket. I am amazed people pay these prices. Looks like I will pass and maybe look in to getting season tickets instead for much less.

It's like this every year, will be worse when they have playoff games. What team are you getting season tickets with?

Tickets 4 years ago were about $400-$500 for the worst seat on Ebay. I saw Florida vs. Oklahoma and it was a night to remember. My guess is you can get around $500 per ticket somewhere if you look hard enough.

I have relatives that went to Notre Dame and Kansas State. So I figure there is a good possibility someone will really want to go and if I could surprise them would be nice to put a smile on their face. But K. St. season tickets are remarkably cheaper than this one game, even though the likelihood of them making it here is very small. ND tickets can be pricey but usually they hit a few games a year and enter the ticket lottery.

We do have some Murphy's in the family down the line so perhaps we are related. Send me your Christmas list, lol.

DSethi,
Get in Domer line behind the family members.

Uncle Viejo,
I'm sure we could work out a trade as you might have some bargaining chips there.

Agree that the TV, couch, and home bar is probably the way to go and definitely what I would choose.

The last game I saw in person was ND at USC in the Coliseum a few years back. Took the parents and met up with Porno Paul there. Got to show my mom my old college stomping grounds for the first time.

Me: Mom, this is Paul.

Paul: Nice to meet you Mrs. Doberman.

Mom: Paul, oh you mean Porno Paul? Oh, ok. You are not really rooting for USC sitting next to us are you?

(Mom, not worried about the fact she just met a guy named Porno Paul who is actually in adult films, but pissed that he is actually rooting against Notre Dame).

That was the game ND didn't get a first down until midway through the 3rd quarter. Pretty sure USC won either 35-0 or 38-0 but me and Paul were silently rooting for the under the whole time while my dad had this pissed off/gritted teeth look the whole time since he's a hardcore Irish fan).
