Bears sign QB after Cutler hurt

[h=3]LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP)[/h] The Chicago Bears have signed veteran backup quarterback Josh McCown with Jay Cutler's status for this week uncertain.

Cutler sat out the second half of Sunday's loss to Houston with a concussion. Jason Campbell took over and is expected to start Monday at San Francisco if Cutler can't go. But the Bears needed a backup.

McCown appeared in three games with Chicago last season and made two starts, completing 35 of 55 passes for 414 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.

The Bears also waived tight end Brody Eldridge on Tuesday.

Great hit, when you're a QB and you run with the ball then that's what happens. Also, once a QB crosses the line they are a running back, not a QB.

Keep your pussy ass behind the o-line if you don't want to get hit.

Come on, this "Hit" wasn't even that bad. The guy who hit him didn't even tackle him, just hit him and kept standing there, didn't follow through with his shoulder or momentum or anything.

i just watched the video like 5 times.....at no point in there was he in the running mindset....i understand the rules, but he was looking downfield only and had the ball dangling above his shoulders....no running back does that....agree he should just stay behind the o-line, but he was a sitting duck.....every QB outside of big ben probably gets fucked up with there

Cutler had already run a few times up the middle, that's why he had like 30+ yards rushing. I doubt Cutler even had a concussion, he probably wanted out because they wouldn't give him an umbrella in the rain.
