A man who went missing after Thursday night’s NFL game was found dead near Ralph Wilson Stadium early Friday, The Buffalo News reported.

The 26-year-old man, who attended the game between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, was found face down in Smoke’s Creek near the stadium. There were no initial signs of foul play, authorities said.

The newspaper reported the unidentified man was from Rochester, about 75 miles east of Buffalo.

Authorities said the man’s brother told the police that his brother had been ejected from the game, apparently for being intoxicated. Police were able to track a signal from the missing man’s cell phone to establish a location.

An Erie County Sheriff’s helicopter was called in to assist in the search. The incident remained under investigation by the Orchard Park police, the paper reported.

sounds like a case of passing out after falling down somewhere precarious. a man has got to know his limits.

I was thinking the same. I guess it depends on protocol for drunks at the stadium. if no protocol, maybe team owner will be targeted. if negligence of breaking existing protocol, maybe security company liable for letting him loose.

this happened locally - from what i read after he got kicked out of the game he called his friends and told them to meet up a local bar. He tried to hop a fence and hit his head on a rock or something and got knocked out. They found him in a creek.

I see a lawsuit as well.

It almost seems like a legitimate case throwing someone out inebriated without someone that is sober.

I knew a guy who went to a bar, couldn't find his way home and laid down in a farmer's field. They found him a month later and he'd died from hypothermia.
