wow - Wow - WOW

Facebook is collecting so much info on everything we do on the internet that it's almost unbelievable. Every single time i log into FB there are about 10 scripts that are being blocked. If I keep FB open and surf the net or... God forbid .. visit a web site to buy something... holy shit... FB is just jammed with scripts that are being blocked when I go back to refresh the screen. I do not allow the scripts but rather just "x" them out and hopefully this prevents Fb from collecting the data they seek.

There MUST be others using no script and FB ... are you getting the same impression as me?

what a colossal, massive , invasion of privacy !

Thanks Murph. Just venting is all. FB functionality is fine.. I am really just amazed at how much data is being collected. based on what I see being blocked by no scripts, their are 10-15 vendors collecting data about my surfing - away from facebook - every single time i log on. I block it, so I feel a little more at ease, but the idea of them tracking my off site surfing bothers me to no end. Thanks again for the feedback

I think consumers will have some defenses in the future. But it's like the wild west right now. The data collectors are just going crazy and taking advantage of us for the time being. I think in 10 years we will look back on these current times in disbelief at how much access to our info we let these bastards have.

I know that certain websites you visit will remember your IP address and will advertise themselves on other websites you visit. I was buying a portable from Staples website but didn't complete my purchase yet and the next thing I know is the next few websites I visited all had ads from Staples and were listing portable hard drives.

Correct.

Andrew "Ken" Lang and Donald M. Kosak two engineers, were the creators of this "ad sense"

They are both apart of a company called Vringo. All of these sites are infringing on these 2 engineers technology.

How did you know this, and are they getting paid?
