I once laid 51 with nebraska vs utah st (mid 80's) they were winning 49-0 at half but only won 56-12.

There may have been others in the 50's as well but that's the one i remember most.

When I first got into online gaming back in 2003 I put $1500 on the tigers at -300, till this day it haunts me. Lost 1-0. I know it's not a spread, but that was a lot of money to me back then, and made me sick as hell. lol

I cant recall the name but back in early 90's O's played a 7th game American League playoff. The starter went like 13 or 14 innings and i think they finally won 1-0. My buddy had like half his life savings on it and watching him sweat had to be 1 of the highlights of my sportsbetting...lol

That was probably game 7 of the world series 1991. Braves/Twins. Jack Morris pitching.

this doesn't add up at all. the '03 tigers lost 119 games. there's no way they were ever a favorite of -300.

It was live wagering.
You know how when the game is real 1 sided with about 5 mins left sometime they will have crazy odds on the team leading.
Well Philly was -5100 or something crazy.
I had over 600 on the line to win like 2 bucks.

I ended up winning the 2 bucks but a turnover and quick TD quickly moved the odds from something like -5100 to -140
It was an incredible sweet for only $2
I never did that again.

It was 2003 or 2004. WAIT! That's right, I bet onthe opposite side, forget who it was, but D. Young hit a walk off, Detroit did win. Maybe it was the Yanks I bet. All I remember is Detriot and they fucked me! lol

why would you bet that to only win $2?

Why wouldn't you if f.e. a pop fly is hit with 2out in the 9th and the CF is camping under the ball...or if a team in football can kneel down. The odds of them messing up in that situation are probably even higher than -10000, probably seemed similar to Chop in that situation.

Highest football spread I think was -42 or something like that (NCAAF), baseball up to -9.5 (World Baseball Classic, world cup/european cup or German Bundesliga), soccer and ice hockey up to -3.5, basketball somewhere in the -8X range on USA to beat Virgin Islands and some U16 youth game by China in the Asian cup last year or two years ago, IIRC they won by >100.
